Synopsis

With the wake of a serial killer that seems untraceable, Bryan Derrick—a detective with a high success rate—is sent to help out in the case but things quickly spiral as he is entangled in many life threatening events as he tries to uncover the secret of the 'smiling psychopath'.

He soon discovers a plot in this new city and discovers that it is made by his arch enemy. he soon realises that his past has followed him to this new city.

 He makes new friends and helps then solve their problems by investigating for them and also goes on a journey to accept his dark past but one thing eludes him: the mystery of the serial killer!

Saviour Ibok is a Nigerian writer of science fiction and fantasy. He has written many titles including Haklaran Hunter trilogy, Elixir of Love and The Last Soldiers.

The Tenth Victim

Fred sat close to Maria on the sofa as they watched the TV. She was slowly eating her salad since it wasn't time yet for dinner.

Ever since their small fight about Maria's dieting plan they hadn't talked much but they weren't on bad terms either. Maria still cooked her own food and Fred kept sulking over it.

"So what are we watching now?" Fred asked her after a while of silence.

She shrugged lazily and answered, "Anything is fine by me." She didn't want to argue about anything today and would just watch whatever he put on.

Fred glanced at her but the glance turned into a full gaze. His eyes were lost in her body as they took in the full view. He lived with her and saw her every day but each time he laid eyes on her she seemed different and prettier.
