A Happy Mother

Hot tears rushed to her eyes as she looked at her son, Walter, on the opposite side of the thick, sound proof glass wall. She heaved another sigh and asked, "How are you doing?"

She was afraid of the reason he had come here. She knew that he clearly wasn't pleased with her so whatever he came to say to her would either hurt her pretty badly or break her down totally.

Walter smiled gently and replied, "I've been fine. How is this place?"

Tracy chuckled dryly, "just as you would imagine it. It's hell here." Her heart tightened seeing his contented face.

He nodded and then a long pause followed and was only broken when Walter said, "I took over the company."

Tracy looked away from him feeling the heat of her deeds come back to her. What could she say?

Walter pretended to not notice and went on to say, "We're launching the first project and I managed to get a partnership with Random Studios, can you believe that?"
