"You Aren't Alone"

Rachael had sobered up by the time they arrived home but she still wasn't speaking. All of Bruce's attempts to make her speak were swallowed like pills without producing effects. He became afraid that she had been traumatized.

Why wasn't she speaking to him? He was however relieved when she spoke to the kids and kissed them before going up to her room.

She tried her best to hold back the tears but the stinging feeling in her heart was still stabbing and throbbing him like there was no tomorrow. She kissed her children as a reminder that she would never betray them, that she would never sell them or give them up or treat them like her mother treated her brother.

She badly needed to do that not just to convey that message to the kids but to reassure herself. Her children were precious and nothing could ever make her do that to them, not even when she was held at gun point.
