A Nice Day

"I can't believe that they let us come here!"

"Me too, now it's going to be a fun day!" Leon was so excited about the visit to Walter. They had asked their parents if they could come and they had agreed—well, mostly their mother had agreed. From their reactions since they came home yesterday evening they could only assume that something bad must have happened at Grandma's.

They were well aware that their grandmother was a sore spot that kept aching at you for a long time and they figured the she must have beaten them up. Wasn't it what mother's do? They beat up their children!

Today they brought toys, candies, games and books—which Dorita insisted on bringing along. Leon had argued about it by saying, "We're going to visit someone who was attacked not to do a mental quiz."

"Not everyone is as dull as you are; Leonard and you won't understand what it means to be away from your books for over five days!"
