Solitude

It was evening again and the sky was a bit cloudy tonight. It had drizzled earlier and there was a high chance that it might rain again.

Alexa stood up from the seat she was sitting on and paced a bit around the living room. She was worried about the problems her father was facing in the company and the lawsuit. She was worried that the company would end up being sold or sued till they lost every cent they had.

It didn't help matters when the board of directors decided to also file a lawsuit against the company for the things her father had done using the name of the company. She felt bad that she had to stand idle and do nothing while these happened.

What could she do? The evidence were stacked against him and the only excuse he had—which she knew was totally a lie—was the fact that he was coerced to do what he did. She, for one, had seen the files and had discovered the existence of a secret database.
