Motives

Bernadette waited for a while at the station before making up an excuse to leave. She double-tapped the communicator again and made sure that Bryan's location was still the same so she wouldn't be lost.

Thankfully, he was still at the same place so she took a cab and headed straight to Rose Street. She stood outside of the house before knocking gently.

It took a few seconds before the door creaked open and Bryan pulled her in and slammed the door shut again, "I didn't do it." He said hurriedly the moment she was in the house.

He had looked through the window to check who it was and was relieved to see that it was only her. right now all that mattered to him was to explain himself to her. He couldn't live with the thought of her thinking he was a murderer… at least he hoped he wasn't.

Bernadette nodded, "what happened that night?"

Bryan showed her to a chair and they sat down before he began, "Collins was blackmailing me."
