The Puzzles Seem to fit

Bernadette and James reported their discoveries to Bryan who was still at the station despite his weak body. It was a marvel that he could still hold himself up after the brutal assault he suffered at the hands of Fred.

Even without being charged for being the serial killer, the man had many other crimes that could put him behind bars for a long time such as the attempted murder on the detective or his various escapades in local bars.

Bryan was able to stay strong thanks to his deep desire to see this case to the end. He wanted the killer who puzzled everyone to be brought to justice. He wanted the killer who killed Angelina and the other victims to be brought to justice and most importantly, he wanted to see it when the man who murdered his friend, Jason, was sentenced.

He was also pissed to think that he had gone to the extent of framing him for the murder of Collins Flint. He really owed William a lot.
