Through It All

"Jess!"

"Here!"

The same old call and response as the classmates groaned in aggravation. Owen looked around to see if anyone was looking, so he could make his way to warn him. Eyes gazed at their devices, others were sleeping like snuggled babies. This is the time to move, Owen reckoned as he lifted up his legs to move towards Avie.

Avie looked back due to footsteps coming her way, till she realized it was him. "Avie, I need to warn you!" he said in a loud whisper that sounded like a rasp. "Didn't I tell you to leave me alone already?" she voiced as she looked at him with disgust.

"Something is looking for you, just believe me here."

"Believe you for what?"

"What I'm saying!"

Owen sighed as he quietly spoke in her ear. "Look, if you don't believe me, I'm telling you, you're gonna die." Avie chuckled as he informed her.

"And they thought I was weird." But Avie, from all those dreams, started to believe too. Her heart belabored in fear, her mind started to sink, and her laugh turned into a tepid cry. Then, as the sky bellowed amongst them, gray stratus clouds began to fill it. As it continued to overthrow the blue brightness, then little drops of water were on the window. Droplets became bigger ones, those became rain, and the rain became a thunderstorm as their ride continued on.

Owen looked around to see if anyone was looking, but something caught his eye. A skeleton head with a black robe and a scythe as long as two six foot basketball players.

The Reaper.

He was coming for Avie.

Yet that wasn't the only thing, shields and swords we're behind him. Led by a big black dragon and a man with a black turtleneck shirt with a jacket with a hood over his head. A brown belt that closed the gap between his white pants and a sword in his scabbard.

Avie said in sheer terror, "Teron."

In the March of Hemor

The General marched with the soldiers who had armor plates that had bumps for more strengthening hits from the enemy, a breastplate that added a turtleneck to lower the chances of a slit throat. Master Wu stood by her side as he looked more serious than ever.

"Well you look more serious than usual," she said as she emotionlessly chuckled.

Master Wu looked back at her, with a worried expression like if something was wrong.

"Oh, General, this was a battle that was once fought thousands of years ago. It's just recurring now—again." They both stayed silent for a minute until the General shouted with a sign of dignity, "Iveueno!" The army stopped in unison making the beat stop abrupt.

Teron's army was in sight, and about 50 feet away, the armies looked at each other eye to eye, with a sense of fear and anger at the same time, of disgust and wretchedness, it was true that this was not a mistake.

The war had just begun.

"Charge!"

"Fight!"

"Rahhhhh!!!"

The rage of war filled the air as both groups started speeding towards each other. As they both met, swords clashed. Blood spilled, and every type of soldier was fighting for their lives.

Swords began to make certain beats out of their clashes, as hundreds of thousands of men died to their enemies. It was brutal, but yet important.

The General came across some soldiers, as they zoomed towards her with swords hung high ready for a kill. They swung their swords, in front and behind, forcing her to dunk. To that advantage, her sword swung for the head and it decapitated.

Slash

Swords shouted with clashes, the sound of war raged amongst the air. Blood painted rivers, men laid lifeless across the field.

The General finished her fight with those soldiers, noticing by the back of her eye, Oboni down on the floor, in pain. "Oboni!" she shouted as she went towards him.

He was breathing heavily as he clutched his ribs, and screeched in pain. The General kneeled towards him, as she asked him to unclutch his arm from his wound.

The graze was very disturbing as the skin was nearly cut off,

and blood spilled out exposing guts from his body.

"Medic!" she shouted as she pressed the wound.

Oboni felt like he was going to die, as the world started fazing from him and he was getting dizzy.

The pain began to disappear as he softly closed his eyes as if he were to sleep.

Owen felt like his ears were plugged as he went back into reality, feeling very weak and tired. As he began to clear his eyes, he saw dust spray like hoses from underground, screeches like war and slashes like knives.

Was it a dream?

Was he sleeping?

No.

He looked around and saw the bus on fire, flipped over from the ground. The bus was attacked, and even worse, Avie was being held by the Reaper.

"No!" he shouted. As he went towards the bus to get Avie. Artillery flew from the sky like missles, as they landed—they made people fly from the ground.

Boom!

Owen lifted from the ground and hit his head on the ground angistly.

He got up from his feet and rushed over towards the Reaper. Swords swung, blood sprayed from people's wounds as they were punctured by swords and arrows.

He got closer to the Reaper as he shouted hopelessly, "Stop!" The Reaper turned around, as he looked at him. His eyes dimmed as he chuckled in his raspy voice, "You."

Owen looked around for some offense which by his side was a sword. He picked it up, and was ready to fight for Avie.

But the sword was too heavy, and it dropped from his hand.

"You weak imbecile, can't even hold a sword. How are you gonna get your precious Avie now huh? That's the problem with you mortals, you guys think you're so strong and brave. You're not! It's only your dumb Astra that helped you for some reason. You guys will never win, let me knock you off the fence."

The scythe swung as Owen rolled and tried to grab Avie.

Someone grabbed him on his arm, as he tugged to get Avie.

It was Teron.

"Well...who's your boyfriend here?" he asked as he chuckled with bright white teeth. Owen kicked Teron as Teron backed off. Those fighting skills were coming to use. Teron looked at him as he took out his sword. "So you wanna fight now huh?"

The Reaper gave Owen a sword as his raspy voice chuckled. "You're gonna die, boy."

"If you wanna fight, then let's fight." Teron's sword rose from the sky, as Owen raised his sword for defense. Owen fell down weakly as he couldn't hold the sword. "Well, this was quick, I should probably kill you now, how about that?"

Owen's tears were about the bulge out as the sword was almost piercing through his neck.

Then a neon creature came through and bit Teron's arm although it didn't do anything of much. He grabbed Avie from the Reaper's grasp and carried Owen.

"What is that dog?!" Teron shouted. He went on his horse and chased after them. "Avie, you're okay!" Owen shouted as Avie bobbled on the ride.

"I don't know for long!"

The horses started chasing after them, with Teron on the lead. "Don't you dare let them escape!" he shouted as the Hiztak soldiers began smacking their horses with whips. Owen was surprised by how they even had horses where they live.

But he was way more surprised about this creature, the one he saw in the hospital who ran away when in sight. They hid under a cave and rested.

Teron slowed his horse down as he looked around. "Search for that girl, I want her found now!" he shouted as his horse's hooves were exposed where Avie and Owen were hiding."

Avie started quietly crying, but Owen kept trying to shush her before they got exposed, and maybe even worse—dead.

The General went over to Master Wu, as he was partially busy with a soldier. "We need more reinforcements, we're losing men!" she shouted.

Master Wu slashed the man as the Hiztak fell into the river, where he flowed silently. "That is not the important thing right now."

"What else is, we're gonna lose the battle without reinforcements!"

"Look over there."

The General looked behind her, as she saw horses clapitting around the cave.

"What are they protecting?" she asked herself. Master Wu shook his head, "No, what are they trying to find?"

They went over towards them, as The General raised her arrow, and pointed at one of the soldier's heads. She released the arrow.

Plak!

Teron examined stungly as he found one of his men flop onto the floor. "Who did that?"

The sky was gray and raining, the ground was filled with blood and dead corpses.

Master Wu and The General both took out their swords as they we're ready for what was to come. Teron's soldiers did the same and rushed forward for the fight.

Swords clashed and whirled around each other, as they did their best of defending themselves. Master Wu dodged and elbowed men from every angle. He jumped and rolled, making an advantage of piercing someone's stomach.

The General did the offense, making the hits while the men had to dodge. She managed to knee a soldier's face as he cried in pain. He swung his sword and the General flipped and landed on a soldier, killing his will to move.

Swords swung around like whirlpools, hitting each other, making clunking sounds like pots. Master Wu continued to defend himself, but he was taking more of an offense.

Master Wu started using bodily aggression, dragging one body to the other and slashing them at the back. But the thing was that they were surrounded by men, forcing them to go closer to each other.

Swords reverberated like cymbals being hit randomly as they continued to fight. Blood spilled everywhere, and bodies flew and rolled till life was no more existent to them.

Owen and Avie found this a great time to start running for their lives, with the big fox. So they went on the fox, and the fox quickly sprinted from the cave.

But they still noticed.

In less than a second, the cavalry was already after them at high speed.

"Go, go!" he shouted at the fox. The fox zoomed away far into the woods where less of the warzone was.

The battle expanded so big, it took over tens of miles of the forest. Meaning, they were still not safe, and they were still being chased by thousands of Teron's men.

This was worse than Owen's traumatic kidnapping experience. They were being hunted, and no mercy was gonna be shown amongst them.

Boom!

Artillery sent them flying until they hit the hard dust. Owen felt dizzy, his heart pounded, his mind was spinning, his body was weak. He felt beat down and could barely get up. His arm ached.

His legs felt split in two.

His mind felt like it was broken.

But he was still in one piece, but a lot of dust was in his mouth.

"Avie…" he rasped as the dirt felt clutched in his throat.

Teron held her by throat, as he chuckled at the whole thing. "This was truly something, honestly, but I think your time is up."

Avie legs moved around faster than a cheetah would. He took out a dagger, and raised it up high for her head as life was to end for her.

Until blue light formed around her.
