Chapter 6: What Am I Going to Do With You?

Only the imperial family had this kind of ability to seal the fire that the 12 ordained knights possessed.

"Did the crown prince do something to you before you parted ways?" Demion asked.

I lowered my head and my eyes turned to the corner, thinking of the kiss.

Yes, He did something to me but is there any unawkward way to say it right now?

"So he did," he stated while observing my reactions.

The purpose is to seal Callixa's fire—a fire that I cannot use anyway.

Like an older brother, Demion pats my head, which makes me flinch.

I wonder how on earth is this tomboy so petite and slender that everything around her is quite big.

I looked at him and then he spoke, "Is anything wrong?" He asked with a concerned expression. "You are not the type who will make that face," he added.

"I..." I looked away and continued, "I lost my memories," I said.

After a few minutes of silence, he burst out in laughter, saying. "That's funny".

"Quit it," he continues, ignoring me.

He stopped teasing me when he saw my teary eyes. He turned guilty and clueless.

He hugs me, trying to comfort me like a little sister.

"I see... you're telling the truth," he stated.

This is a good sign. I am now learning more about Callixa's background and maybe if there is a chance, I might learn how to use her fire. Next time, I see Elixir. I will ask her for a sign of how to determine if the person is a pillar character of this world. So, this is another knight in front of me, Demion. Is he a pillar character?

"This is very not you. We will squeeze out the crazy, carefree optimist stupid tomboy from inside you again. Don't be afraid to be yourself and survive," He said scolding me.

"If you have to cry then cry; if you feel awkward, then be awkward; if you're scared, cry but don't stay paralyzed in that state. You are Callixa! You always scold me when I become like this. Listen, little bro! I'll protect you! So, recover."

I, Zana, used to be a cheerful kid before my gift of transmigration reached its activation peak. Maybe I am stuck; a normal life is still possible. I will work hard here.

"So, what am I like? What can I do?" I asked. Wanting to know who is Callixa in other people's eyes.

"You have the sharpest sense of smell," he said.

I was confused for a while thinking about what on earth he was saying. Is he saying it in a literal manner?

He then laughed, clarifying it to me. "How should I put this," he said, looking aside and composing his words for an explanation. "You can smell if something is wrong about a place. You describe it to me like. You can smell intangible things in a non-existent manner. It is like you can smell something we can't smell; it is the same as seeing something that other people cannot see," he said.

"You said like dying people are exerting and surrounded by smoke-like aura and you smell it from them. You can smell the places and identify places according to their scent. You can smell evil, death, motives, contamination, presence, aura, and bad omens without any visible or tangible appearance."

I slowly comprehend what he is saying. To cut it short, it is a 6th sense but through the nose.

He smiled at me as he changed the topic. "Well, among all the knights in the Order you are the closest to the imperial family," he said but I already know about this.

He paused a little and continued distributing randomly.

"And hmm.. you are the most creative and unpredictable. You invented new ways of using your resources to get the outcome you want," he continued. "This is something I admire about you and I, uh, I did want to tell you this but if this is something that will help you. I want to bet," he said.

"The issue is still seething but we cannot lose an asset of the empire. While it is being handled, I'll be assigned to take care of you and protect you. Callix, you are important to the empire," he added.

I was speechless at how he described Callixa.

. "Okay, please help me as you say," was my remark.

Way back into the castle, hidden from the eyes of all people inside the kingdom.

The crown prince went into his chamber. Everything around was in its luxurious form yet nothing was enough to ease his anxiousness.

Like a marionette, he was held frozen and seated on his desk, in front of a grandeur mirror, where he didn't even have a moment to stare at.

A figure was reflected. From behind someone appears, continuously blabbering things to him.

However, he doesn't care what on earth is the scolding this time.

When he did not respond, the figure that was approaching reached him and held him forcefully on his jaw.

He did not even move or flicker because of the state he was in.

"I should loosen you a little since I wanted to see your suffering face," says the insane man.

And when the control loosened, allowing his facial expression to be released. The temper that was held back all this time shows.

He glared at him. "How dare a lowly creature like you do this to me!" Prince Leran exclaimed.

"We are geniuses, prince, that is why you are here being overpowered by me! It is rude to be called a lowly creature but it won't change the fact that I just love how pitiful you look right now," he paused.

He grabbed him by the collar and exclaimed. "You let my prey go!" He inferiorate.

He released, allowing the prince to fall to the floor.

"I should track that little Missy with all my might," he stated.

"Either using the power within your walls or the power outside," he claimed.

"Do not touch her," said the Crown Prince.

The mad scientist burst into laughter. "What!? Are you still under the influence of the drug I used?"

"Are you blaming me for what you've done?" he blurted, freeing himself from guilt. "It is not my hands. It is yours! You should never forget that she holds abhorrence because of what you've done," he left, completely satisfied with the triumphant feeling he held inside.

"I can't believe how much dose I used," he said as he left.
