Dark Fairytale

David’s P.O.V.

It was the first time Helena called me David, and the feeling sounded so foreign. Suddenly, she appeared to be a different person—a stranger to me. In just a blink of an eye, it seemed like she was no longer my girlfriend.

It was hard to accept the fact that all the times we had been together, she loathed every part of it. It was hard to hear coming straight from her mouth that everything was just a lie. It was hard to see how she was insulting me. Like she had never treated me as her real boyfriend.

It didn’t take long before we found ourselves soaking wet. I was even trembling, but I set it aside and pretended not to hear all the things Helena had said—although those words were stabbing me like hell. I took off my suit and attempted to wear it on her shoulders because I knew that she was feeling cold as well, but she just shoved my hands away.
