That fiery night made Chelsea unable to go back to sleep. What happened on the bed kept replaying in her mind's eye like a movie. And can't help blushing when she thought of it. He missed him already, she already anticipated that he won't be marrying her, perhaps he is already married, can she bear it if he takes her as a mistress? Her chest was pressed by sudden stress. She was surprised with a sudden gush of pain. Where did that come from she thought? She might never see him again either. However she is a very optimistic person, she can only look forward.
She has to decide for herself and her brother, adulting is hard, and running away from home is even harder, she sighed. And her luck didn't run out that night. The black card has unlimited credit limits and she can buy a house. She kissed the card in gratitude for Gregory.
She called Marie Love her friend that owns a bank in the town square to help her. She was able to find a house suitable for her master's temperament, it has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a garage, a little porch in front, and a wide backyard. It's beautiful but most importantly it was a good sale. It's also fully furnished; she wouldn't have to worry about sleeping on the floor tonight.
Chelsea is waiting for Gregory's call. It is already noon but the cellphone has no plan on ringing by himself. She instead called Ethan on the Hotel's service phone.
"Hey bro, why don't you check out our new crib?" She is feeling thug using that slang but she's in the mood who even cares. She heard her brother chuckled on the other line. It's not even hers they're just squatting for a while.
"Where is that "new crib" that you're so proud of?" Ethan's voice is excited, who wouldn't for the instant luck they got, they must have saved the universe in their previous life.
"It's not far from the children's park behind that old temple where grandma used to visit, do you remember?" She then gave him the full address, he instructed his brother to take a taxi because she knew Ethan doesn't have a dime in his pocket.
"Yeah I remembered, sister how about our clothes." They didn't have many clothes but these clothes are hard-earned by her sister.
"Yeah, we'll get some clothes today after we're done transferring school okay, leave the clothes with them." Chelsea always has a soft spot for his brother, his life is tough, he has to wake up at dawn to work in the fish market to earn some money for his school, barely enough to buy a decent lunch.
"Don't think too much hon, just get your ass here and enjoy the moment." She made a little teasing to lighten up his mood.
"Okay, I'm going."
On the other hand, Eric Chiu and his wife are having a huge fight in the Chiu residence. He was enraged knowing that his children ran away and that her daughter got herself a rich husband and is angry because he didn't get a chance to take advantage of him.
"Then who told you to tie your son up and sell your daughter?" Mrs. Chiu Shouted back To Eric. It's not fair that she got all the beating when she didn't do anything.
"Then if you can just have taken good care of your children they wouldn't run away like this!" His loud voice can be heard two blocks away.
"How can I take care of them when I'm busy looking out for food, you didn't give me anything to eat you bastard, I regret marrying you, idiot!"
Mrs. Chiu threw the cup she was holding to her husband. Eric was provoked by that move, he squeezed his wife's neck, choking her. Mrs. Chiu's scream is so ugly like a nail scratch on the board. They can be as violent to each other as much as they are to their children. Sadly there are parents like them that exist.
In their new home, Chelsea made a sumptuous meal to celebrate their freedom. They won't have to worry about the beatings anymore nor worry about sleeping in the shed. After lunch, they went to a bazaar in an old shopping center in the middle of the city. The price was good and they knew Mr. Lo, the shop owner. He's giving them a good price. All the clothes they're buying are fake brands but since they're both good looking no one would think they're wearing fake.
"My brother could pass for a K-pop Idol." She chuckled while helping him try some more clothes, since she started using Gregory's card she has calculated everything she has taken from it and will officially deduct it when she starts working as his servant.
"Of course! I look like an idol, and my sister looked like Jenny from black pink." Of course, she's far away from that Kpop artist but they both laugh together.
"Sure sure, I'm Jenny and you're Junkook." She thinks her brother is far more handsome than Jungkook of BTS but she has to try and build both their confidence from now on.
"Sister Saranghe!" He made a cheesy statement taken from Korean drama and made it even cheesier when he made a heart sign with his thumbs. She cringes and shuffles her brother's head.
"Okay enough let's transfer school." They went to their old school and bid farewell to their friends and classmates. All her friends are shocked by her decision to transfer to the school. None of them expected it made people around her sad.
"But why?" One of her nerd friends Kayla asked. She didn't let them know the abuse she had at home.
"Didn't I tell you that we were orphans and I have to work right? I got a permanent gig in that area. " She explained it would be hard to move places when you're working and studying. Though it's vague they had accepted her explanation.
The public high school the government has established has a pretty good education, in Poppy City state academies, have an over the top education because only smart people can get in, tuition is free for the poor, and tuition is collected to rich people even if they're smart. Poor students that aren't smart are being annexed. The top classes are way too advanced than the annexed class. Although she belongs to the top list, she's a regular student while his brother is in a special class for young scientists. That's why she took care of him seriously. The special class for young scientists has a small community inside the school and she can't get in so she waited at the library.
Chelsea has a love and hate relationship with this library, it's where she witnessed her first crush's kiss with her friend Daisy on that far corner where horror novels were stored. This is also where she exchanges love letters with the cute young trigonometry junior class teacher. She even forgot that she was in love with Mr. Amwar when she met Gregory. She rushed over and checked the usual book they exchange letters for. Thinking how pathetic that she has to do such tricks because she doesn't even own a cellphone. She found Mr. Anwar's letters and asked her to meet him at the weekend. But she has to be a jerk and say goodbye to him, not that she is completely gone gaga over Gregory's godly appearance but she knows that the relationship can't move forward, since he's a teacher and she's still a student, she thought her reason is justified just because it's convenient. Though before Gregory's appearance she swears Mr. Anwar is the sexiest man she had ever met, but now even the celebrities she had a crush on were paled in comparison. Even if he didn't call her yet no one can replace his status in her heart in the meantime, her admiration for him even heightened because he is her knight in shining armor.
