Chapter 19 Magick

The girls in Chelsea's room decided to ask each other questions and no one should refuse to answer otherwise a rule breaker will be punished.

"Okay let's start with you since it's your idea." Ron volunteered to ask first.

"Cool, bring it on." She confidently answered.

"Have you ever steal anything?" She knew her intentions; she wanted to break her wholesome image in front of her. She understands though to accept someone in your life you'll need to strip naked in front of them so they can trust you.

"Of course I did! I stole food when I was ten, me and Ethan were starving so much we could die." She answered honestly and carefully she stole many things especially from her father's relatives who love to brag about how wealthy they are.

"That was easy. I stole things too from bad people." So they now have in common Chelsea thought and they started to share the experience. Ron once stole a diamond earring from her stepmother because she refused to give her allowance and insisted on punishment for something Ron didn't do. She pawned the earrings and brought noodles for kids on the street. She was eight at that time.

"I'm so proud of you." She then patted Ron's head and they both giggled.

"Okay, my turn. What was the evilest thing you have ever done?"

That was also the evilest question they got for a game like this.

"Me I didn't do anything evil yet but I was planning to murder my stepmother, but haven't done anything yet so far." She laughs crazily admitting her evil thought to Chelsea.

And Chelsea had told her the whole story. Ron touched her face and cried like a madwoman.

"What you did is not evil! They deserve it. Waaaah I promise from now on you will never starve. I will raise you." Then bawl her heart out. Ron never experienced poverty her whole life and to get hungry at such a young age she felt distressed.

"Okay enough go with your next question." Chelsea diverted Ron's attention not wanting to dwell on the past.

"Ok then. Are you still a virgin?" This woman is fiery and is not what she thinks she was.

"Yes." She answered

"But I had the most amazing first kiss." She told Ron her experience once again and Ron thought she could see the moon's brightness in her eyes.

"How about you?" She asked Ron.

"I will consider this your next question." She answered and stared at Chelsea seriously.

"I was once rape when I'm sixteen, I went to my grand mother's house for a vacation and a man from the village enter the house and violated me." She said with a stern expression. She narrated everything to Chelsea. Chelsea's whole body trembled and tears in her eyes were uncontrollable. It was her time to bawl her eyes out. This is so unsettling, how could there be such a person? She wanted to find an answer to someone else's intentional evil. Could it be mere ignorance? She didn't think so. She once read a book describing human evil; it was by Dr. M.Scott Peck. The author described that human evil was caused by extreme ignorance. But then they would make the crime unintentional since they claimed they don't know it's wrong.

"What are you crying for? The culprit was caught, my father has him tortured and was sentenced to prison for two lifetimes and has no pardon. Even his reincarnation is punished." She laughed at Chelsea's reaction.

"Listen, to me you are pure, innocent, and clean. Okay? I swear my life to protect you from now on."

Ron said it could have been plotted by her stepmother but she got no evidence. She's so slick that she got away with it.

"I'll help you find the evidence."

The girls laugh and cry. The last question was what is the dirtiest among the secrets they have. Aside from trying to murder their parents and having been rape which became a taboo topic.

"For me, the dirtiest secret was trying to seduce Gregory." She told Ron how good-looking Gregory is and that he is godlike etc.

"I was having Spring dreams with Yan Deng." Chelsea almost fell from the bed from laughing hard. Yan Deng is also a handsome guy, with a strong character, he is an honest and principled man, Chelsea found a common ground with him that's why they're good friends. They top everything off by drinking champagne and giggling some more. They talked about their crushes, Chelsea even told her about her admiration for her former high school teacher. And Ron told her that she wished she was kissed Yan Deng earlier but he was too gentlemanly which disappointed Ron too much.

"Ron listen I have something to tell you that you must never tell anyone whether you will believe me or not okay?" Ron nodded her head vigorously.

"I'm a witch and can do *magick spells." She then made a simple sparkling light spell, it was comparable to little fireflies. Ron's eyes went wide in amazement. She reached out to touch the little lights illusion or not it was amazing.

"Whoa...like from Disney! How do you do it?" The child within Ron has awakened. She was the first person Chelsea knew who actively believed in real magic, that’s why she wanted it to share with her because of that very reason.

"I don't know. I just spoke the spell and here it is." She said unbelievingly herself even. She liked the effect too.

"Can you do another spell?" Ron is wide awake even if had quite enough champagne. They have half a bottle each, they both have low alcohol tolerance. So their giggling was none stop, even to almost like most stupid things they can laugh at it hysterically.

"Let's do it together next time, haven't tried anything yet since it needs things for a ritual." She squeezed her nose and tucked her in the bed to sleep.

"Okay, that's a promise?" Ron asked and Chelsea answered with a nod and turned the light off to sleep. Chelsea made a very good friend tonight, she'll be her friend forever possibly a best friend. She inhaled deeply and unconsciously smiled widely staring at the ceiling. She must be drunk because she felt extremely jumpy and happy. The lights she created with the spell lingered around the room reminding her of the festive mood.

Foolish assumptions from the author:

1. That is if you didn't know what Wicca or Pagan Religion is.

2. And you only knew magic from Disney or Hollywood.

*Magick is the term used by some real-life witches to classify the difference between illusion magic and real magic.
