Xander's POV

Por did not go to work today because she's not feeling well; I miss her; therefore, I went to her office so that I could at least feel her presence. When I entered, her scent exposes in the entire room. It smells fruity and carried a light touch of vanilla scent that clings to the air. I close my eyes then sniff the puff of wind, her scent lingers through my nostrils and gives me slight chills it was so addictive. If I'm going to compare it to a flower, it would be lilac.

My work is over. I decided to visit Por. I bought flowers for her because I remember her birthday was today. When I went to Por's apartment, I was downstairs, and I heard their conversation. I recognized Ezekiel's voice suddenly my eyebrows pulled down together. I sat here in the waiting area and saw someone is going down.

His face seemed familiar to me, so I just followed him with my gaze until he could get inside his car. Por and Ezekiel were talking for a long time; My jaw clenched then tumble my fist so hard on the metal bench where I was sitting. When I raised my fist, it left a big dent in it; I'm spinning out of control because of my anger. I heard footsteps going down. He stared at me and didn't take his gaze away from me; He was about to leave when I spoke.

"You're a pest in my life Ezekiel" I shuddered because of anger then I clenched my fist and rasped my teeth.

And he slowly turned in my direction. "Maybe you're the one who's bothering us because I'll always be the first. I'm the first one Por met." he had an annoying tone and smirks.

"Have you forgotten? As long as I live, whatever you do, I can take her away" I said to him with confidence and mocked him because I saw the smile on his lips vanished.

"Good luck Xander" he challenged me and walks.

I laughed devilishly, and it was a sound of success. I stopped when the stairs got my attention; My mood was ruined. I cannot face Por like this and threw the bouquet in the trash because it was damaged due to my anger earlier.

When I came home, I felt a new presence; it looked like I had a visitor. I walked towards the living room, and I turned on the lights, she immediately appeared to me.

"Athena" I calmly mentioned her name she was sitting on the couch and looked at me mischievously.

"Hello brother, surprise!" she greeted me sarcastically.

"You've changed a lot, Let's be real here, what do you need?" I slowly took off my coat and sat down opposite her.

"Nothing, I just visited you, isn't that possible? As I remember this is our house" he crossed his arms with one eyebrow raise.

"I know you, Athena, I'm sure you need something," I said to her.

"I want to let you know that I saw Ezekiel for almost years in fairness he was good at hiding" she took a grape from the fruit basket in front of her.

"You're too late" she stopped eating and slowly looked in my direction. "I have seen Ezekiel for a long time, and he is hanging out with the woman I like" I dropped my hand on top of the wooden table, and it destroyed, the fruits were scattered on the floor.

"Huh? So Amethyst has been replaced in your heart? Who's the girl? Maybe she's tasty?" she's pissing me off then chuckles.

"Shut up, Athena! It's Amethyst I saw her" I said to her.

"Oh? What a surprise? Is she one of us?" she asked.

"No, she's reincarnated, and she's Por. "and I got up from my seat.

"She's human, and it's easy, you can compel her to love you, right? Problem solved" I looked in her direction.

"No! I want a free-will love, and I'll going to fool myself if I did that" In a glimpse, I come nearer to her face.

"Duh!" then she pushes me away "Do as long as you want that's your Lil 'sis' advice," she said and gone like a wind.

After that talked, I locked myself in my room suddenly cold sweats drips from my forehead along with the heat crawling down to my throat. I ran to my drawer where my medicines are and took a syringe that contained a gold fluid then I immediately injected it into my arm due to the high dosage of the drug it made me scream in pain. I felt my veins and fangs come out.

The drug slowly flowing through my veins, and the pain earlier disappeared. I was catching my breath and felt very thirsty after taking the medication. I took a bottle of wine and poured it into my glass then starts to drink it.

"Type AB is my favourite it is so delicious," then licks my lips and sits on the bed.

I injected a unique drug so that I can get out through the day, and get a temperature like a human. And I continuously drink my wine blood; it comes from the blood bags I bought then transferred it to wine bottles and printed new labels for making it look good when I displayed it in my room.

I am a century-old vampire, and for my living, I survived to pretend as a human every day. I got the Z Empire from an excellent friend of mine, he died in old age, and since no one will inherit his beloved company, he made me his heir.

When I first saw Por's resume, I wanted her to be a part of the company because she's a doppelganger of Amethyst, who is my first love and happens to be my fiancé. Then Ezekiel enters our lives, then ruins everything! I tightened my hands so much that my fingernails bit into my palms, causing my wine glass shattered in my hand. This time I will do everything to get my girl back.

Today is my fencing training, and almost all of my colleague loses, and it gives me boredom I need a little challenge to awakens my blood.

In the distance someone was watching me, it was a beautiful young lady. She had captured my heart, and time stood still. I know it was love at first sight suddenly, my colleague moves with urgent haste towards me, and I felt someone hold up his sword for me. The young lady was slightly amused, and because of that I smiled then a servant come towards her they had a little conversation, and they immediately left together.

I need to get to know that beautiful young lady "Are you hurt?" I heard a question from behind.

"No, you know your best friend is powerful" I bragged to him.

"If you are strong you have to defeat me with a duel" he invited me which I did not refuse.

As a result, he defeated me; there is no doubt that he will win because he is one of the greatest warriors in the entire kingdom. I just laughed and scratched the back of my neck then he lowered his sword in front of me.

"You had incredible skills that are the reason behind your victory in every battle Ezekiel," I said to him as I put my sword inside my holder.

"You are also good, my friend," he said to me happily.

I am getting ready for the gathering prepared by my King father, we have a guest coming, and when I arrive at the venue. My attention was drawn to a young lady who was now happily talking to my dear King and Queen.

"The Prince is here" I heard my servant say. When I entered the room, they immediately gave me respect, and I did the same.

"I will introduce you to your fiancé my Prince; This is Princess Amethyst from the kingdom of Lila" I took her soft hand, and I slowly kissed it, showing my respect to her.

My fiancé was so beautiful she captivated me even more with her sweet smile from her cherry red lips, and she's the young lady I saw earlier at my training.

"I'm glad we met my majesty" she greeted me.

"So am I" this is all I could say at this moment.

As I held the picture of Amethyst in my hand and stared at it suddenly my tears fall.

"I miss you so much, Amethyst; I need you in my life. I waited for so long to see you again. And I promise I will never be defeated to gain your love again." I said to her picture and pecked it.
