Chapter 8: Remember the Past, Forget Your Future Part 5

While we all ate in relative silence, I thought about who I should try and cheer up next.

Seeing her sit by herself at a table, I made my way over to Mia’s table, sitting down across from her with a cup of my best attempt at vanilla tea.

“So, do you like all kinds of vanilla things, or just the tea?” I asked, trying to get Mia to talk to me. Her gaze and absentminded tapping of the bottle she had led me to believe that she wasn’t in the mood.

“Just the tea.” To my surprise though, she suddenly spoke, still staring at the wide bottle of acid, “I prefer chocolate in other areas.”

“Really? Even in ice cream?” I asked, getting a bit more into the conversation now. Mia nodded her head in response.

“Though in the area of chocolates I like white chocolate the best.” She explained, moving her gaze to the cup of tea I had produced, “Did you make that?”
