Chapter 8 - Meeting my fiance

Third Person's POV

Tonight's the night of the engagement dinner, where the two lovebirds would finally meet each other. The Hyun family is just getting ready for this formal dinner. Christopher Ezekiel Hyun, the eldest son of the family, the man whose about to get engaged, wore a black suit with a white polo beneath, and wore a bowtie for finishing touches. As for the bottom part of his outfit, he wore slacks that matched the color of his suit and polished black shoes. His waxed his hair to the side for a more stylish look. I'll leave the rest of the details to your imagination.

Ellyza Chrystal Hyun, the unica hija of the family, is currently pouting while looking at her own reflection at the mirror.

"Mom! I told you that I want to wear a Hello Kitty dress huhuhu." The young lady whined as she stomped her feet on the floor.

"I want to wear a Hello Kitty dress too, baby. But your Dad won't allow us for this is a formal dinner." Michaella Krizelle Hyun, their mom, replied.

There you have it! I guess you folks should know by now where Ellyza inherited her childishness. The young lady sighed and looked at herself once again in the mirror. She's wearing a simple yet elegant spaghetti strapped white dress, ruffles at the ends of the dress, with the length ending on half of her thighs. Ellyza sneakily wore her pink stilettos to save herself from the disappointment that she isn't wearing a hello kitty dress. She just let her hair let loose since she's not in the mood to do a fancy hairstyle.

"Let's go." Christian Kiel Hyun, the head of the family, said as they walked out of their residence.

As for the Park family, they wouldn't lose in terms of good looks and fancy formal wear. Each member of the family is busy worrying and fixing their own looks. Why? They're going to the park since they're the Park family-- joke, that was totally lame. They're going to attend the engagement dinner, of course!

"Mom, I really look gorgeous in this outfit." Rochelle Alexandra Park, the one whose about to get engage, said as she admired herself in the mirror.

The young lady wore a lacy white dress with short sleeves. The dress' length reached until the half of her thighs. She then picked a pair of black stilettos from her collection. She had a hard time picking what heels she would wear. But when she laid eyes on her european round closed toe super high stiletto black ankle strap pumps, she knew it was the one. For her hairstyle, she chose to let her wavy dark hazelnut hair let loose, which complemented her outfit. The young lady already looks like a bride from just her outfit. All we need is a bouquet of roses, and of course, her groom.

"Oh God! You're flaunting your ugly face too much!" Russel Alexander Park, the eldest son, teased his younger sister.

"I don't need your opinion, you monkey looking creature." The young lady talked back, of course. She wouldn't let her brother win in their so called sibling tease fights.

"Tsk, tsk, tsk! You're too affected lil sis! Thank God I'm handsome." The eldest son said, even though his last line doesn't make any sense.

He even posed a 'stolen picture pose', wherein he's looking at somewhere while holding his chin. I mean, he's handsome, really. I must say that Russel's outfit really fits him. He's wearing a navy blue coat above his white buttoned long sleeved polo, with a long necktie which matched the color of his coat. For his pants, he wore navy blue slacks to match his coat. He even polished his black shoes, or rather, he let their maid polish his shoes, which made him look neat and formal.

"I see that my handsome son and beautiful daughter is all set, ey? I guess that the apple really does not fall from the tree. I mean, look at your father folks! Gorgeous as ever." Richard Allister Park, the head of the family, chuckled as he complimented both his children and himself.

"Confidence overload alert." Alleya Mae Park, the mother of the two stubborn eggs, cringed at his own husband, but couldn't help to laugh.

They all laughed then gathered to form a group hug. I think that both families are ready for their so called engagement dinner. The question is, would their dinner end in good or bad terms? Well, we just need to wait and see.

Rochelle's POV

"Argh, what's taking them so long?" I groaned.

You know why? We've been waiting here in the restaurant for more or less than thirty minutes! My fiance isn't even here yet! The hell is taking that jerk so long. The audacity to make the Park family wait. Did they not know the golden rule, gorgeous people don't wait. That fiance is really a pain in the ass.

"Princess, they're not late. We're just early. Oh! And speaking of the devil, they're here!" My Mom said and pointed at the entrance of the restaurant.

Arghh, finally! I looked at the entrance and I think my eyes just sparkled. A beautiful lady and a handsome man just entered. They had this powerful and charismatic aura surrounding them. Sorry, but I was expecting an old wrinkly business man along with his scrunchy wife.

"Hi!! Sorry we're late." The lady apologized as she approached our table.

"Nah, don't worry about it. You aren't late, we're just a little bit early." My Dad said and offered them a seat.

I assume that they're the parents of my so called and so late fiance. They took a seat before us. My family and I actually sat on one side of the table for them to seat on the other side. They started talking about business and stuff while my brother and I just stayed quiet. I mean duh? Parents? We're so out of place! We couldn't relate with their topics so we just smiled, laughed, and agreed with them although we didn't understood a thing. Then, the gorgeous couple suddenly fixated their gaze upon us. We gulped, anxious of what they would say about us.

"Is that you Alexander? You've grown to be a handsome bachelor. I bet girls come chasing you from every where." The man who I think named Christian, said as he looked at my brother.

My eyes widened as I looked at my side. I saw Alex smirking. He was casually shaking his head as if it was not a big deal. Oh my god! No! That compliment would surely rise up to his head! This monkey looking ugly creature! Then, the woman named Michaella or perhaps Ella? Suddenly looked at my direction and smiled.

"You must be Rochelle right, my dear?"

I awkwardly smiled and nodded. "Hehehe, yes Madam."

I was about to grab my brother's arm for support, I mean, I'M SO NERVOUS! AS IN! I was shocked when I grabbed nothing but air. My eyes widened when I realized that the seat beside me was empty. Where has he gone to! Don't tell me he's at the comfort room at this very moment?! I sighed internally.

"Gwahh! You're so pretty. You know, you're the same age as my very cute daughter." She said as she stared into my eyes. My god, I feel like she's staring into my soul. She suddenly glanced at the entrance, her mouth formed an 'o'. "Oh! There she is!"

I also looked at the entrance, and my jaw dropped. You are so not gonna believe this. I stood up, with my mouth still open, shocked at the situation. Her eyes then finally laid on me. Her jaw dropped and immediately ran to my direction.

"ELLLEEEEE!"

"YZAAAAAA!"

We ran and hugged each other. I felt other people's gazes on us. But who cares, we're besties duh. We both released our embrace.

"You guys know each other?" Mr. Christian asked.

"Yes, Dad! In fact, we're besties! Right, Elle?" Yza replied joyfully.

"Yes, sir. She's right."

We settled down as we took our seats once again. I sat at my seat earlier, duh, beside my brother who's missing all this commotion. While Yza sat beside her Mom, leaving the sear in front of me empty. I'm assuming that lover boy is going to seat her. Arghh, what a drag.

Wait, I just realized that I'm getting engaged to Yza's brother. Oh my god! Does that mean we're going to be officially sisters?! You know, in-law. I wonder what her brother looks like. How I wish he doesn't look like a froggy. I've been friends with Yza since we were kids but I haven't heard of his brother, not even once. So I don't have a clue who he is, and what he looks like.

"Oh! How rude of us, we haven't introduced ourselves to dear Rochelle, yet." Mr. Hyun said and smiled at me. "I'm Christian Kiel Hyun, and this is my wife Michaella Krizelle Hyun. You can call us Ma and Pa from now on. Since Mom and Dad could be a bit confusing for you, so Ma and Pa would do."

I just smiled and nodded in response. Then, I glanced at Yza and she was day dreaming as usual. I was curious why her forehead was creased as if she's thinking about something serious.

"Dad, why is Elle here by the way? I thought this was a dinner for big bro's engagement, not a friendly dinner." She curiously asked.

"She IS your brother's fiance, Chrystal. Speaking of your brother, where is he?" Ma asked.

"Uhmmm... Mom...." She paused for a moment then turned back to the entrance. "There he is!"

She's pointing at the door. Of course, I looked at that direction. I want to know what my fiance looks like. I saw a silhouette of a man walking towards our direction. I couldn't fully see his face due to the lights of the restaurant. When did these things got so bright?! When he was nearing the table, I finally saw his face. Our eyes met. Both were shocked to see each other.

"You again?!" We both exclaimed as we pointed at each other.

"What? You guys already know each other?" Mrs. Hyun asked.

"Yes, Ma." I responded without taking my eyes off of him.

He wore his pissed and mad expression as always. Why is this boy always irritated?! I swear, he's got a period everyday. Mr. Hyun then glanced at him.

"What took you so long?" Pa asked sternly. I could feel the coldness and authority of his voice.

The irritated boy's face softened, or rather, his face was now expressionless. I think that this man is only capable of two expressions, mad, and total nothing.

"Traffic." He answered as he took a seat in front of me. He didn't even bother to look at me. He just sat there and did nothing.

I was so pissed. I mean, how dare he act like that?! He was so late! The audacity of just seat nicely in front of me without even apologizing. He sat there as if I do not exist! I can't believe that I'm going to be this man's wife in the future. My Dad suddenly patted my shoulders.

"Hey, introduce yourself." He whispered. I sighed.

"Oi." I tried to get his attention, and I succeeded. He looked at me and raised an eyebrow. Still pissed, I managed to speak calmly.

"Rochelle Alexandra Park."

"Christopher Ezekiel Hyun."

There goes! Introduction over. That was easier than I expected. I repeated his name over and over in my head. That name kinda rings a bell. Then, I suddenly remembered. I internally smirked. So he's the one who ranked first in the campus princes huh?

"Hey guys, what did I miss-- CHRIS! What are you doing here?" My brother suddenly came back from the dead.

"Obviously, I'm sitting on a chair." He replied sarcastically.

"Ezekiel! Be nice." Mrs. Hyun scolded him

"It's okay, Mrs. Hyun. We're used to his 'I have a period' attitude." My brother said and took his seat beside me.

We all laughed at Alex's remark. Well, except for Ezekiel. I think I'm going to call him Ezekiel from now on. Ezekiel, Mr. Irritated and I'm on a period jerk. I can't argue at what my brother said. I mean, it's true right? HAHAHAHA. Mr. Hyun suddenly coughed to get our attention.

"So, we have decided that you two should live together." Pa said nonchalantly as if it was not that of a big deal.

"WHAT?! WHY?!" We asked in unison, not happy with the sudden news.

"So that you two could get to know each other. You know, to deepen your bond and stuff." Pa explained.

"Dad, is this really necessary?" Ezekiel asked his father, not pleased by the decision.

His father nodded at him which made him sigh. I also glanced at my parents and they also just nodded at me. I face palmed and shook my head. I mean, WHAT?!?! THAT JERK AND I? LIVE TOGETHER? UNDER THE SAME ROOF? IS THIS THE END OF THE WORLD?!

"After this dinner, you two won't come with us to go home. You shall proceed to your new house. And Princess." My mom looked directly at me. "Don't worry about your things. Yaya already packed them earlier. So you're all set to move in."

Oh my god, this arranged marriage could be the death of me. I just sighed. "Okay fine, so when's the wedding gonna be?"

"It will be held in the next two months." My Dad answered me.

Two months. This means I only have two months to enjoy my life being single. This marriage is such a drag. Even being engaged with him is such a freakin' drag!

"So, does this mean that Elle will officially be my sister soon?" Yza broke the silence. She asked innocently with her sparkling eyes.

Her mother chuckled at her daughter's question. "Yes, baby."

"Yehey!!!"

Hope all yehey.....

Christopher's POV

I can't fucking believe that I will live under the same roof with that girl! Yes!! I remember her. She was the girl who fucking bumped at me. Bumper girl. She always bumps me at any situation. Though I think that it was only twice. But, fuck! I couldn't forget how she turned her back at me! The audacity of that girl to turn her back at Christopher Ezekiel Hyun.

I'm currently at OUR house. Yes OUR house. Our parents are very cunning, they already built a house without us knowing. But I guess, what could you not do with money? I approached Alexandra, the bumper girl, whose currently unpacking her things.

"Hey Alexandra."

"Hmmm, what do you need from me?" She respond, she didn't even bothered to face me as she continued unpacking.

"Don't you ever fall inlove with me."

She suddenly turned to face me, as expected. She looked shocked at what I just said. My lips formed a smirk. Her reaction was priceless. I think she didn't saw that coming, huh?

"Haha! You wish! In your wildest dreams." She scoffed and then turned back to continue unpacking her things.

I just watched her doing so. I took a peak at her baggage and noticed that there's still so much to do. My forehead creased when I realized something. I wonder why she's still not finish unpacking and fixing her things. As far as I know, she was here fucking hours ago. I just shrugged it off, and went upstairs. I headed straight to my bedroom.

I opened the door and when I saw my room, I was shocked. My room was clean, and all my things are arranged nicely. My eyebrows crossed. I don't remember unpacking or even arranging my things. I walked further inside my room, then I noticed a piece of paper lying around on the table beside the bed. I picked it up and read what's inside.

I just found myself smiling like a total idiot. I guess she isn't that bad after all.

'Hey Ezekiel! I already unpacked and fixed your things so you don't have to bother exhausting yourself out!'

Signed,

Pretty Alexandra <3
