She felt herself fall and cursed out loud. She tried several times to grab unto a railing, but her hands were too slippery.
Still, she never stopped despite the pain, till her hand managed to hold onto a rail. Not bothering about the pain or to catch her breath, she pulled herself up and dashed from the stairwell into a corridor. She was now official lost. She had no idea where she was and how far from the exit she had fallen.
Just when she wanted to scream in frustration, a figure in the corridor caught her eye.
“My lady!” she shouted in excitement.
Helen heard Lizzy’s voice and paused. Yet despite looking around, she could not find her.
Lizzy ran towards Helen and held unto her wrist, startling Helen to almost flip her.
“My lady, let’s go!” she dragged Helen as she continued running. Behind them, a dark figure paused as stared at their leaving backs, before following.
“Lizzy, is that you?” Helen asked.
“Yes.”
“Why can’t I..” Helen started to ask.
