It was my first rest day in a while. I did have rest periods before but that day was a full day of just cheat eating and laying around like a couch potato. I woke up in my room thinking, 'ah that feels so good to say, MY room.'
As I stepped out towards the living room I realised that the house was completely empty. 'Where would these two lovebirds head off to at nine AM? That too on a Sunday?' As I was thinking of all the possible places they must’ve gone out to I noticed a note lying on the coffee table,
“Rads please be ready by 12 in the afternoon, wear a nice going out outfit and we’ll come get you then
-love
Becky and Grace.”
Okay then.
Oh and Becky, yes, that’s what I had been calling Baek now. It started about two weeks prior to the day this note was left. After watching a Korean drama me and Grace decided to do some 'aegyo' on Baek to piss him off and somehow managed to give him a new nick name.
The face he made every time I called him Becky was just awesome and the face he made when Grace called him “Beckyyyyy Jagiiiiiiii” , was just priceless.
'Honestly? I secretly think he’s warming up to that name, he may not admit to it but he’s definitely getting there.'
By twelve I was absolutely ready, wearing a gray long sleeved short top and a black skirt with thigh high boots, my long hair in a messy ponytail, and the only makeup on my face being eye liner and plain lip balm. They were right on time to pick me up, and we left to go god knows where.
Apparently it was a “surprise” so they wouldn’t tell me where we were going no matter what.
They did tell me that they were off to an entertainment agency this morning because Grace had to sign some forms. She had been selected as one of the background dancers for a TV show event here in Seoul. I felt like a proud sister and gave her a big hug and made a mental note to get something for her as a good luck present.
Now I was extremely confused. We took a train and we got down at Songpanaru station walking towards exit 1, walking for 5 minutes after exiting the station we reached this restaurant called, Ossu Sieoromushi.
I was still trying to understand what the surprise must be in a lunch outside when it suddenly clicked, my holiday list, the list I had made of the places I wanted to visit when I came to Korea. This restaurant was a part of the list, it was Jin of BTS’s brothers restaurant.
I was flipping so hard on the inside I may have even jumped a few times in excitement. I’d read all the reviews about this place, about how the food was actually really good and this place was famous for its good food, not just because celebrity influence.
“So you liked our surprise?” Baek asked,
“Oh my goodness are you kidding me, I love it and what……… how did you know? And thank you, wow this is amazing, I love you guys so much!!!!” I exclaimed happily.
“It was me, I found that list in your took the other day when I came to wake you up, so we thought since you practice so much you didn’t get time to actually tour and we wanted to get you out here.” Grace told me.
These amazing people were a blessing. One hundred percent sure. Blessing.
They had not only taken me in, helped me with so much already, they were going the extra mile to get me to places I wanted to visit. God!!! what I did to deserve them. They treated me like a family member and I intended to do the same for them every chance I got.
The food was exceptionally good, and after eating to out heart and stomachs content, we were on our way for some much needed dessert. Again the place being a surprise.
Another train ride later I found myself in front of “Kamong café”. Damn! They had actually gone all out in making sure it would be a nice trip for me.
Although we didn’t see Kai from Exo there we did see his sister. Honestly just being in that café was good enough for me. We must’ve been there for good 2-3 hours, just talking and eating before we left for what was going to be the third and final destination of the days trip.
They brought me there, they actually brought me there, oh my god, oh my god, my excitement level was at its peak. It was a KARAOKE BAR!!!!!!!!
I had really wanted to go to a karaoke bar and sing the night away while binge drinking but that was obviously not possible since I was on a solo trip and going alone to karaoke was kind of awkward for me. They’ve learnt to read my mind or something for sure.
Have I mentioned that I love my Becky and my Gracyy because if I haven’t then here it is, I freaking love these two wonderful humans!!!
Making our way towards the bar all of us had the biggest, brightest smiles on our faces. We were together just how families should be and I have never felt more blessed than I feel right now. I can only pray that this love we have never fades.
