The Princess of the Clover Kingdom

Utah knew he couldn’t say anything beyond this so he watched and a little later quietly called his messenger bird. On the other side of the kingdom the prince and the princesses along with Mir, Mohnish and some other skilled fighters from Heart kingdom as well as Diamond kingdom all were busy fighting the demons. Vinasaka soon joined them and told them everything. He asked, “ I don’t understand one thing. If it was the clover kingdom who attacked us, why is it that we can only see demons everywhere?” It’s not like nobody thought of this yet it's simply because they didn’t get enough time to think about it. There were so many demons to fight off and to top it off they kept targeting the common people who couldn’t do anything to protect themselves besides waiting for the mages.

“The numbers don’t seem to decrease at all,” he didn’t wait for anyone to answer his previous question. He knew very well that none of them even had the answer. Soon when they felt that it was becoming a pain in the ass, they heard a voice saying, “We will help,” and like a rain drop on the land of drought, their faces seemed to light up as soon as they saw the familiar faces. It was none other than the crown prince of the Spades kingdom Amish and the oldest sister, Roohi. They had a pretty big group of soldiers with them which meant a lot of help. They wondered, “Why suddenly,” but none of them said anything since help is what they shouldn’t be refusing now.

“We will be obliged,” replied the crown prince Amir with a small smile before he went on again. With the help they received, they were quick to wrap up the scene one by one. Uncle Ram helped them by carefully evacuating the people to a safer location but even after being told repeatedly he wouldn’t go there first. That was probably expected. When the situation seemed under control, they gathered near the forest. Zaharia found a seat beside Nivah on a huge boulder. The situation was quite heavy so she decided to say, “I am sorry crown princess. You should have been on your honeymoon now and look at what you are having to do.” Everybody laughed except Amir and Novah who were only trying hard to not catch each other’s eyes. As soon as the mood was about to lighten up a bit, a huge bird came flying towards them. They had no trouble realizing that Utah had something to tell them, so Mihas advanced his arm at the direction of the sound of the wings flapping and the bird sat on it as a perch.

Never did they think that message would again bring them darkness. “His majesty is no more.” That was the only thing it said. Nobody spoke a word, maybe they were too shocked to even speak. It was too sudden but none of them doubted it.

More like they couldn’t yet digest the fact or even have any time to mourn it. “Why did I have to leave him alone?” Vinasaka clenched his teeth as he said it quietly. Mihas said, “You only did as he said.” As soon as a tear rolled down Zaharia’s eyes as she froze in her spot, something almost hit her head but she was saved by Mohnish at the very perfect time. It was a ball of fire. When they looked back, it was none other than the only crown princess of the clover kingdom, Misha. It was her and not her at the same time.

“Not looking good,” Amir said as he advanced towards her along with the rest tagging along. He thought he would rather talk but he didn’t get any opportunity to. As soon as he reached there, he was hit straight by her sword, the very sword they used to spar with when they were earlier. Her face was close to being called “destroyed”. He almost got hit in the midst of defending the attacks but was snapped back to reality by Novah.

“Misha, are you there? What on earth happened to you?” Novah shouted while dodging her attacks but the other didn’t seem to have any reaction at all. It was a pretty sad scene since none of them had thought that something like this would happen to their childhood friend and it looks like they wouldn’t be able to see her again as well.

“What on earth just happened?” Vinasaka said as he tried to hold off other people, supposedly from the clover kingdom, behaving the same as her. They couldn’t even be killed since they were all mostly either innocent kingdom guards or common people. They were probably just being used as pawns. There was no way that they could be considered as demons. So they had to deal with them without harming them as much as possible. Mir was doing his best by not tiring himself and saving the deadly attacks and when he had almost brought a lot of clover kingdom’s puppets under his water barrier so that they couldn’t go out , he found something strange. He watched the horror unfold in front of his eyes as one of the demons who sneaked inside the water barrier shredded all the demon puppets of the clover kingdom one by one. He tried to take down the barrier but it was probably too late. It seemed that their human senses came back right before their death and it was like a nightmare watching and listening to all those shrieks and screams. Such was the horrific sight in front of him, he stood there watching without being able to do anything. Vinasaka knew instantly that Mir would be claiming himself responsible for the incident but he was more worried since he suddenly became frozen in the middle of the battle field.

He managed to rush towards Mir and shook him out of his thoughts, “What are you doing standing here idly?” He hit another demon and again came to Mir who looked like he was coming back slowly. Watching him with the pathetic expression he couldn’t help but touch his face trying to console him but soon his eyes became bigger and he hugged Mir and swung him in his way covering him as a demon slashed through his back. This made Mir snap back into reality instantly as he cried out, “Imay!” This made a lot of faces turn to look at them. More than being shocked at his current state, they found it surprising to see Mir losing it completely as he went on a complete rampage. He removed every demon within his sight with a single attack and it would be lying to say that he didn’t look like a demon himself. Every attack he launched contained so much power that it was inevitable that he had tired himself out. Yet he was about to do something similar again when he felt a hand on his shoulder. It was hot. He turned to the other side and found Vinasaka smirking. For some reason he knew it wasn’t Imay but he found himself unfazed and saw the wound on his back completely gone.

“I am glad you are treating me better now?” Vinasaka somewhat asked Mir. Mir replied, “If you are gonna help me, do it right.” He smiled a little which in fact amused the other and somewhat made him happy.

Together they fused their vitalities without a problem and created the blue fire again. It was indeed a magnificent scene but this time they had to be a little bit more careful so that they don’t attack anyone except the demons which turned out to be rather painful work. As soon as it was done, the demons of the entire area were wiped out right in front of everyone and both the heroes plopped on the ground supporting each other with their backs. “Good job there,” Mir said. Vinasaka replied, “Then reward me,” and earned a smack instead. He was used to it by now so he chuckled instead and it was uncanny since he looked too much like Imay and Mir felt strange by that thought alone.

“Wow, I like that. Your powers amaze me sometimes, brother,” a new voice caught everyone’s attention all of a sudden. They all turned and it seemed familiar. Novah gasped, “Jin?” Amir knew he could not waste this opportunity and he rushed towards him as fast as possible. He definitely needed his answers this time. He went closer and said, “I have a lot of things that I need you to answer me,” Amir said to Jin whereas Jin who was originally looking at a screeching Vinasaka turned towards him and said, “First off, congratulations on your wedding and second, I am not here to chit chat with you.” He said with an obvious disgust on his face and was about to leave with the aim to get closer to Vinasaka when Amir shouted from the back, “Jishan….,” the name alone made him stop in his tracks and when he looked back he saw Amir holding that red pendant he had lost seven years ago in the dungeon. “Care to explain this?” Amir couldn’t help his eyes from getting moist as his vision started becoming blurry. The fact that he stopped and turned back at the name itself was evidence enough to show that he was not wrong about this but somewhere he prayed to be wrong if it was possible.
