Academy twins P9

Saying this made Kendred stand up out of pure spite, although his intentions were clear to her, to others he seemed to get back up on his feet, as if whatever was wrong, was now gone. Yet that wasn't the case, Kendred had now been standing on top of feeling the pain trying to drag him down onto his knees.

"P~purify!" he yelled in agony showing a smile, one which Yoru hadn't liked at all. "It looks~ like I'll have~ to teach you manners" Kendred muttered just enough for everyone to hear him. Yoru had decided to continue her assault, so she began walking slowly towards Kendred, gradually speeding up per step, eventually a few steps in, and she was now running at him with her dark short sword clearly wavering.

The short sword's dark glow had been flickering on and off for a few seconds now, and due to her mana pool no longer being attached to the sword, Yoru wasn't able to tell how much time she had before the ability Shadow guidance which was placed onto the sword had before ending.

Still, seeing Yoru approach him very very fast, Kendred tried focusing on the winds, while he brought his spear up, thus beginning to also run forward. You like to run in with the same tricks, then let's play it that way Kendred thought to himself as mentioned before, running forward as well.

Yoru saw no need to change what she was going to still do after getting close up to her opponent. With Kendred approaching her while she approached him, the distance was lessened by much more, and once she and him were just around 10 feet away, Yoru threw the short sword up, very quickly after doing this, she hopped back trying something risky staring dead into Kendred's eyes.

"All i have to do is memorize that feeling… the trajectory which it always took, how it took it, the length, power and every detail down to the bone. His arrow, Void arrow, please work… now wrap the darkness in my shadows into the form of my own arrow!" Yoru's inner thoughts were louder than any other day.

And on this particular day, on this particular fight she was fighting hard, and with very few options she had to use what she could, and if she had nothing, then she'd have to make something.

Kendred's gaze momentarily left Yoru's sight, thinking that she was going to appear where she threw the short sword, he looked up at the sky ready for her appearance, his winds slightly faltering as everyone awaited for the next move, which was clearly the deciding blow.

Everyone's jaws nearly fell to the ground as they had seen something black, with a purple hue appear from Yoru's hands. "A bow?" a student yelled out in surprise. Another gasped aloud, "When did she hide a weapon like that?" As the onlookers noticed it Kendred failed to notice it himself due to the intense pain he had been enduring, and his divided attention via light winds and the sky Yoru might appear from.

At this moment, Kendred noticed something about the sword. "She had no intention of teleporting to her sword!" he panicked in his head trying to look down at Yoru's original position.

When his eyes met hers he'd seen a black and purple shadow bow in her hands, and right at the center of it, a swirling darkness visible. His body hurried for the impact, but because his eyes had reached her before his hands repositioned the spear his worry wasn't dodging, especially at this distance which might have proved impossible. He could clearly see Yoru whisper something, yet couldn't make out what it was that she said.

Her lips in unison with her words, gave him the indication that he was too late. "Dark arrow-" she whispered, letting the dark swirling mass at the center of the bow shoot out rapidly creating this dark almost like neon purple trail of light or shadow in the blitzing arrows path.

The dark arrow which had physically manifested from Yoru's mana had now made contact with Kendred's light wind, ripping through that and soon after... his body, killing him instantly. Everyone in the crowd remained silent after the kill had been confirmed by his body beginning to glow bright green, restoring his body back to full health. "No way… she beat the best second year…" student's murmured everywhere. Not only this, but to everyone in Hydropolis, everyone who had been looking at the spell stream of this event.

All of them had been shocked, yet one thing still remained, silence. This was, until Kurai whom was standing up in the seating areas began cheering alone for Yoru. "Wooowww, i knew ya'd beat his blond behind!" Estros hearing this was in disbelief. "These two girls are some of the best students i've ever seen, power or not haha" Estros had begun laughing hysterically, loudly at that.

Right as this happened, half of the first years began cheering while all the second and third years remained silent. The other half of first years hadn't known what to do, or if to even cheer, since this would've been a mocking action to the nobles.

Yoru on the other hand, didn't even look at Kendred who stood up feeling the echoes of the used to be pain he had felt inside of his body. Kendred was about to say something but then again, Yoru had walked away before he could even get the words out.

With this, this marked the end of this battle, which left hundreds of thousands shocked. (All over Hydropolis). Once she got up to the seating areas, Kurai gave Yoru a hard pat on the back and a hug following that.

"It's your turn now, good luck." Yoru said, sighing , also sitting in Kurai's assigned seat. Doing this, Estros recovered himself from the endless laughter, and began calling for the next match.

"Many apologies for my behavior a short moment ago, i haven't laughed this hard in ages" he said, then a first year student hearing this commented, "Yea sounds about right." causing some first years to chuckle. Estros ignored the comment, acting like he didn't hear it, afterwards he called the next two fighters.

"Young lady Kurai, and Vron Reinheart, please make your way to the field." Estros bluntly announced falling back down to his comfortable chair.

While this happened, in the VIP area, the lone royalty member remained silent watching everything that had been going on. Balor Reinheart on the other hand paid it no attention, instead he asked his eldest son how it was that Kendred was still able to use mana after the supposed frying of his mana vessels.

Leopold sighed "Father… aren't you the head of the Reinheart house…" he asked his father who nervously laughed looking to the side (His first wife), "Well you see… your intelligence doesn't come from me…instead it's from your mother…" Balor nervously laughed with a singular sweat trailing from his forehead down.

Leopold shook his head almost as if he knew this already "Nevermind. What happened was that the vessels weren't all fried yet, and you could see that through the faltering winds of his. That and the pain he had showed he was under. Although… if it was anyone else, it would've been much quicker. Younger brother Kendred has great endurance. Even standing afterwards." Leopold ended his statement with the clap of his hands.

"Besides. What now, father? hasn't the Reinheart name been dirtied with this loss." Leopold asked his gaze fixed on Yoru, then onto Kendred whom was on his way to his seat. Balor, Leopold's father sighed simply stating that a win is a win, and a loss is a loss. They will do nothing about it, other than putting the Kendred under a tough training course.

"Besides. Corrupt nobles exist everywhere, and I'm sure as hell not one of them." he stated, glancing over at the quiet Royal person present whom was seated much closer to the middle than he was.
