Ace was shuffling things in the dark as he was trying to find the cigarettes and the lights. He cursed inwardly when he heard the thunder outside.

The little light was peaking through the barely opened door as it went off, followed by the bang of the door shutting closed.

"For God's sake, please tell me you didn't lock it.."

Rain jumped up hearing the male voice and, without anything to hold onto, lost her footing falling on her ass.

"Ouch!"

Her soft voice made Ace realise that it was a girl. He had hoped that it was not one of those attention-seeking girls he normally saw outside.

He hated such girls. No, scratch that, he hated every girl. To have feelings for someone, spending all their time and money on them, making her the center of the world, he chuckled and even pitied the thought. He thought that was impossible for him or rather it was something he would never want.

The Legend of Dark Fate

It was something that looked familiar to them. Both sitting side by side, waiting for the opponent. They did make a good team too.

"If I die, promise me, you will win," Ace said, with a commanding tone, although there was a smile on his face. He had been enjoying it a lot.

"Aye Aye, Captain" Rain said with an equally pensive tone.

The girl sitting beside her was no normal, dressed in a much bigger suit than her small frame, and adjusting the helmet quite so often, she was still like a Soldier prepared for battle. She hadn't taken out the helmet or set up her hair or even stared at him, which he had found the girls from the opposite team were doing very often.

This girl had been adamant and loyal to the game. Her only aim was to win, although he could see that she was enjoying it just like he was.

She glanced at the boy sitting beside her finally and noticed that he was looking at her but quickly diverted his gaze.
