The Cabal

Koal POV:

The Warlady fighting one of her Generals was a fascinating one, she put one of my men in such a state of terror I am sure he prayed to the Gods to be rid of her. Only by the way she is fighting, it would seem it would take a God to personally kill this woman. She took the blows from this man who had to have over fifty pounds on her and was significantly taller with a longer reach, yet she parried, and blocked every blow.

After ten minutes of the lady blocking, she finally advances for the first time. She strikes true on her first advance of the man, having him on the ground with her blade to his throat similar to what she did to my man. He has a very deep wound to his chest, nothing life threatening unless it gets infected, with the blade to the Generals throat, "Surrender now, or you die where you lay General." The Warlady tells him with such calm it is truly frightening.

She does not have a bead of sweat on her, nor does she seem short of breath. Actually, she seems to have a very calm even breathing as if she just went for a walk and not fought for her life. The seat of Warlord or Warlady is only given up in death if a challenge is placed.

"I surrender Warlady." The General states, no hatred nor fear is evident in his voice or eyes. Why not? She nearly killed him, and went for the seat. Why is he not afraid or angry?

The Warlady does something that confuses me even more, she reaches out with a hand, after she puts both swords in one, and helps the man up. He takes her hand and stands, walks back to his place with the others assembled no one in the line showing any surprise at what just happened.

"Any other challenges, step forward now." Again that oddly calm tone she uses, as if she is discussing the weather and not her seat of power. After a few moments and no one stepping forward she continues, "I leave in the next five minutes, after I am gone from Capse, Warlady Morrigan will rule as well as Nike being her second. Am I clear?" at this point her tone is hardened, a command if I ever heard one.

"Yes Warlady." All in vicinity say as one.

"Very well. Lea, get my bow, quiver, and bag, be here at my departure time." She says to a young woman that is slightly shorter than the Warlady, she has brown hair, and blue eyes set in an almond shape and sharp features. The woman bows her head and briskly walks into the fray of people.

This Warlady that I am to escort back has caught my eye. Now it is to see if that is a good or bad thing.
