"Mom, Dad, I'm leaving now!" Sheena informed her parents.

"Okay dear! Take care, we love you!" Her mom hollered back while her dad gave her a thumbs up and a smile.

Sheena smiled to herself. Even at 23, she still lived with her parents. Yes, Sheena has the money. She can move out if she wants. But, she decided to stay with them. She loved her parents. Most people move out because people her age mostly have relationships and she doesent have that. So she has no reason to move out.

Sheena walked towards her car and drove. After a few minutes of driving, Sheena stoped infront of a familiar brunette. The brunette got in her car and hugged her as she did the same.

"Sheenaaaa. I missed you!" Her best friend gave her puppy eyes. Sheena laughed and shook her head a little, patting her best friend's head twice.

"We see each other everyday, Lee"

She pouted and crossed her arms. Sheena always questioned whether or not is her best friend really a university math teacher. Lee's personality can be mistaken for a two year old. But that's why Sheena loves her.

Parking the car, they both got out. Fellow teachers and passing students greeted them as they walked through the hallways. As they departed, Sheena made a beeline towards her classroom.

Sheena taught earth science. She wanted to be a martial arts teacher but her parents wouldn't let her, saying that they already gave her a chance to learn the horrendous thing Sheena loves to do.

Sheena was upset with her parents for 2 months. Until her parents said sorry and explained everything. Saying that they didn't want her to get an injury that might be irreversible.

Sheena forgave them and now a year later, here she is now. Teaching with her best friend in the most prestigious school in town.

As the bell rang, student filled the classroom. With her usual, genuine smile, Sheena welcomed everyone.

"Good morning class"

_

"It was not a good morning" Lee pouted infront of Sheena. They were both sitting on the left side of the cafeteria, where all school staff sat. While Sheena had an amazing day with her students, Lee was ranting everything that happened at her's.

"And then she stood up and walked out of my class while my students laughed at me!"

"And she did that because?" Sheena asked, trying to hold in her laugh for the sake of her best friend's pride.

"She told me that my class was irrelevant, so I told her she was irrelevant. She gave me the finger and left!" Sheena couldn't keep it anymore. She let out an ugly laugh, garnering looks from other teachers and some students.

"Ah kids" Sheena wiped a tear while Lee glared at her. "So immature yet hilarious"

"I don't know if your on my side or not" Lee mumbled as she stabbed her muffin with a fork.

"I mean. I hated math when I was in college. Math is a horrible sub-"Lee smacked her friend on the head, making Sheena laugh once again.

"I hate you" Lee's words were coated with malice but her face said otherwise. Her eyes crinckled at the sides as her laugh filled Sheena's ears.

"I love you too" Sheena let out one last laugh as they both stood up, teachers and students returning to their respective classrooms.

_

"Good bye everyone. Get home safe. And don't forget your home work" Sheena smiled at her students as she heard a series of 'yes mam' and 'you too's .

Sheena packed her things. Making sure she turned off the AC and lights, she left. The janitor greeted her on her way out as she proceeded to the parking lot, where Lee was already waiting.

They both got in and chatter instantly filled the car as Sheena drove Lee home.

"Soo, sleep over tommorow? It's a Saturday. C'mon!"Lee gripped Sheena's other hand that wasn't holding the wheel.

"Lee, I have to grade papers"

Lee rolled her eyes. "We can do it on Sunday. C'mon Sheena please? It's been so long since we had a sleep over. Kyle and Jackson misses youuuu"

"Your brother sees me everyday though?" Sheena tried to reason out. She knew she'll loose when it comes to Lee, but she has a lot of papers to grade.

"Well how about Jackson? Come on just this once? Let's grade papers on Sunday. I promise I'll help you" Sheena sighed.

"Fine fine. I'll go" Lee clapped her hands and hugged her best friend.

"Come over at 5 pm. Me and the Kyle will set up everything" Lee said as she got out of Sheena's car. Sheena gave a thumbs up and waved goodbye.

She waited for Lee to get inside, before honking twice and driving towards her home.

_

Her parents were out, again. Sheena's parents almost never came home early at night. Sheena would see them in the morning, her mom would prepare breakfast with her dad, then they'll eat together. Sheena would leave for work and whenever she gets home, her parents aren't there.

Her parents doesent come home at midnight since Sheena tried to stay up to see them one day. She never asked what they were doing, she just assumed they don't come home because of work.

She went upstairs and entered her room. Grabbing clothes, she took a quick shower and prepared dinner for herself. Whilst eating, she begun grading some of her students papers so Lee wouldn't have to help her.

After grading, she didn't go to sleep like she usually does. Her life just seemed, planned. Like someone programmed her to do everything she does in repeat.

Sheena sat alone in her dark room. Thinking of a day that something different happened. But she couldn't think of anything.

Even in her teen years, it seems like she lived that it's as if, someone was controlling her.

Whenever She plans for a night out in a bar, or a field trip for school, it never happens. Once, she remembered wanting to participate in a school field trip.  Of course her parents didn't allow her. The next day, a school bus was attacked by an unknown syndicate. Sheena taught she dodged a bullet, until today of course.

"Let's just sleep" She mumbled to herself as she turned of her lamp. Right after she closed her eyes, she swore she saw a red light blink in the dark. But to tired to actually care, she cuddled into the comfort of her bed.

_

"I should wake up" Sheena said to no one in particular. She woke up to the sound of pans and plates clunking downstairs. Despite waking up at 6, she didn't get up. Looking at the clock beside her, it read 11:27 am. The sun was already shining yet she stayed bundled up in her bed.

She was actually waiting for her parents to call her. Seing if a change would actually happen.

Tired of waiting and actually hungry, Sheena stood up and slowly walked towards the kitchen.

"Do they actually care for me?" Sheena mumbled as she looked at the empty kitchen. Left over breakfast was left on the table where Sheena would usually sit. No note was Left, just empty silence with a exposed, cold breakfast.

Then the taught of her life being programmed entered her mind once again. It was the first time Sheena didn't wake up early. She always woke up at 6 whenever she hears pots and pans clunking.

"No. I'm being ridiculous" Sheena shook her head and preheated her bacon and eggs.

Sheena finished her brunch and took a shower. Changing into some presentable clothes, she took everything she needed and went over to Lee's house. She knew she said she should come at 5pm But the silence was actually killing her.

Parking her car at Lee's parking lot, she took her backpack and locked her car. Ringing the doorbell once, she heard the soft patter of footsteps. The door opened.

"Oh, your here early" Kyle, Lee's brother took her bag and welcomed her inside.

"Stop being nice. It doesent suit you" Sheena plopped on the sofa next to a sleeping Jackson.

"Does he know I'm coming over?" Sheena pointed at the man beside her.

"No. It was actually going to be a surprise. Dude, you didn't show up for like a month. He was so excited he actually cleaned our house" Lee said as she entered and sat beside her brother.

"I was busy" Sheena's voice was tinged with regret. Being too caught up in her job, she actually forgot she had friends.

What a bad friend she was..

"Jack" Sheena shook him softly. He mumbled in his sleep but didn't budge.

"I actually forgot how big of a sleepy head he is"  Sheena leaned closer towards Jackson's ear.

Whispering a soft sorry, Sheena yelled waking up the poor boy in a startle and accidentally tackling her in the process.

"Ow. What the hec- Sheena!" Once again, Sheena was tackled to the floor with a giant baby on top of him. The two laughed as they hugged on the carpeted floor.

"I'm sorry I haven't visited in a long time" Sheena apologized as she pulled away.

"Its okay. I understand" Jackson said as he helped Sheena sit back on the sofa. Sheena could've visited his house instead, but her parents never let her. She doesent know why though.

"I missed you" Sheena smiled and hugged him again.

"I missed you more

_

"I take it back. I don't miss you!" It was 6pm and they decided to play wrestling. Wild, yes it was. But Sheena was capable of beating Jackson and Kyle because of her background. But she didn't know that they also started going to gym.

"Ow, you hit my nose!" Jackson clutched his face while Kyle laid on the floor, not moving.

"And you poked my eye!" Sheena yelled back.

"Ugh. Why am I even friends with you guys" Lee laughed as she dragged her bother out of the cold floor and into the carpet.

"Because, you love us!" Her brother suddenly piped up, finally sitting properly.

"Yeah Lee"

"Yeah Lee" Sheena and Jackson said at the same time.

"I swear my name is dead" Lee deadpanned.

"What? Kylie is to long" Sheena mumbled on the floor and the two boys agreed.

"Its not-"

"Its. To. Long" They all groaned.

"Just say that you hate my name. Jeezz. You say Kyle's name, but not mine" Lee rolled her eyes and pouted.

"Fine. Kylie. We'll call you Kylie" Kyle said as he ruffled her hair. Oh how he loves his sister. It's so cute, actually.

"Now I wish I have a brother" Sheena plopped on the sofa, her head on Jackson's lap.

"I'll be your brother then!" Jackson smiled, his eyes disappearing. Sheena gave him her smile and enthusiastically nodded.

They all chilled on the living room. Time passed by and it was already 8pm when they decided that they should probably make dinner.

"We ran out of food. How about takeout?" Kylie asked everyone who either said a no or just plainly groaned.

"Ugh. What do you guys want then you ungrateful brats!?"

"I want to go to that chicken place."

"Jackson, do you have any idea how much one piece of chicken costs there?" Kylie asked, baffled while the two just sat silently, enjoying the show.

"Duh. That's why I suggested it. McDonalds are for peasants"

"Spoiled brat" Kylie muttered under her breath. "Fine. Let's go. But I'm not driving" She crossed her arms.

"Kylie, you don't even know how to drive" Sheena laughed as she took her keys as the two boys grabbed their coats.

"Shut up" Kylie pouted. Again. And walked out of the front door. The trio laughed and followed her.

_

"Yeah that's All. Thank You!" Sheena said as she took the freshly made chicken in her grasps as the others waited by her car.

Gripping the bag tightly, she walked towards the others. As she neared them, within a blink of an eye, Sheena was on the ground. Thankfully, the chicken was still safely grasped in her hands.

"Stupid humans " the man in black mumbled as he turned away.

"Dude! That is not cool man" Kyle touched the man's shoulder but froze. Sheena saw the man smirk and walk away. Leaving a frightened Kyle and a confused Jackson.
