The Hood

The moon was now slowly rising. It was almost midnight right now.

The moon had been raising that way in a matter of days now. And when it did, the night was usually as black as charcoal.

The moon continued mooning away, its rays hidden partly by the dark clouds that surrounded it.

The streets were flooded with light as usual and the only sound that could be heard was the intermittent barking of dogs whenever someone came across.

At some point, you would hear someone screaming.

But nobody got up to check why the person screamed.

This place was a somewhat free city where those who had more power physically oppressed the weak.

The only disturbing being whenever someone screamed was the dogs.

They would continue to bark until the scream died down, probably because the person had been killed by strangling or something else, satisfied that they had stopped the screaming.

Rin did not feel comfortable at all. All night he had been tossing and turning on his bed.
