Bitter Sweet Memory (1)

"Thank you so much Lena." Riley showed her gratification while watching the direction where the bullet had gone off. A cloud of smoke was rising towards the sky from that spot and she was pretty sure that the enemy had been hit.

And there was no surviving it. She had deciphered his pain-filled scream amid the whizzing and the booming sound of the bullet as it hit the target. His voice was filled with pain when it landed.

There couldn't have been a better way to erase him and his band of fellow terrorists hiding under the shadow of guards. "Nice pinch. The risk was enough to get him." She said, regarding the fact that she had exposed herself to danger so that she could eliminate their target.

She was better off that way. Lena acknowledged her and stared down the plain with her. There were still more people that needed to be dealt with before the end of the day. They still had more targets to finish but Riley stood there.
