Meanwhile in the northern race. The morning was a very chilly one and it was very quiet as well. The only sound that could be heard was the soft but harsh whisper of the wind as the wintry atmosphere got worse and worse. The other sound that could be heard was the occasional cry of ravens in the sky as they flew about in their numbers and in well arranged echelons.

There were very few birds in this part of the world because of the extreme temperature of the place. It was a very cold area and animals never neared there. The only ones you could find here were the naturally rough and wild animals and birds that had enough furs to protect themselves from the adversity of the wind and the harshness of the fallen temperature. There were only a few months in the year when the cold was gone and it was replaced by the warm rays of the sun that weren't familiar with them.
