CHAPTER FIFTY-FOUR

I furiously left. Roman was saying my name loudly to stop me but I ignored him and went straight towards my car.

I started the car and drove off. During driving, I sense something strange but when I looked back I saw Roman's car behind. This made me angry and I pressed the accelerator angrily.

After reaching there, a maid came to me, "Hello Miss Jennifer welcome home." she said politely but as I was so annoyed I barked back,

"Where are Mr. Vernanda and his wife?" as I yelled she became horrified and started trembling, "Ma'am is not at home and Sir is in his study room with his son."

"Oh, great so both father and son are planning something new, okay let's see what they are planning to do now," I said and walked towards the study room.

Reaching there I was about to burst in as the door was slightly open but stopped in my tracks as I heard William yelling at his dad.

"What the hell is going on, now," I murmured to myself.

I decided to stay behind the door so, they can't see me. I have never thought I will ever eavesdrop on the person who I think of my father but why do I feel something is not right.

My world came shattering down when I heard William's next word.

"Dad, you're the cause of Jennifer parent's death, ARE YOU SERIOUS?"

"Keep your voice down, look who you are talking to and I told you it was just..."

"Just what dad, huh, just what?"

"I don't know, okay? I don't know but to precisely it was just a misunderstanding and an accident."

"Did you have any idea how heartbroken will she feel after knowing all this? She trusts you and thinks of you like her real father."

They both were yelling.

I felt like dying there as tears were now falling from my eyes, all this time they all were playing with my heart and make me believe things that they all were true and made me trust them. I was betrayed by the person who I love unconditionally.

After my parent's death, they made me felt safe and protected but I didn't know that this same person is involved in my parent's death.

Now I was thinking how naive was I to believe them with closed eyes without thinking about anything.

My heart felt like piercing and would stop beating any time now because it can't bear the pain I am feeling at the moment. A sob emitted from my mouth I didn't know that from how far I was sobbing, my knees felt weak, and I sat down with a bang.

They both just felt the presence.

They immediately stopped talking and William come towards the door but when he saw me there his facial expressions turned to pure shock looking at me there.

"Jen, wh-what are doing here?" he asked with a shaky voice and starts to come closer to me but I instantly stand back on my feet and moved back.

"DON'T YOU DARE TO COME CLOSER TO ME YOU SICK SON OF MY PARENT'S MURDERER." I yelled, "I HAVE HEARD EACH AND EVERYTHING."

"Jen, how much have you heard? I'm sure it's not enough so let me tell you the whole story," he asked calmly still moving towards me.

"I said don't come closer to me." I said and pushed him away and started to walk towards the main door, "I'm going to media houses and the police station and going to tell everything to the cops about your bastard best friend and this father of yours."

I opened the door and was about to step my feet out of the door when I was pulled back inside and the next thing I know was William's hand touching my face really hard.

As he slapped me Mr. Vernanda yelled his name loudly in anger, "WILLIAM."

"No dad, not now. Because now she's crossing her limits and without even knowing all story she's blaming you and is using abusive words."

I was shocked, he even dared to slap me. He has no right to be called a human, he's non-human and an animal.

"But still she's your wife and I can't bear your this behavior with your wife, apologize to her right now," Mr. Vernanda said.

"No dad, she is no wife to me," William yelled at my face.

"You think I consider you as my husband, Huh? And you Mr. Vernanda I don't need your fake sympathy. You all just wait and watch I'll make you all pay for your deeds."

"And also no doubt that she left you, after all, how could she bear an animal in the form of a human," I yelled at his face.

Hearing this his eyes turned black and his blood starts to boil.

He throttled me on the wall hard and said in a cold trembling voice as felt the same pain as me after hearing about his past girl which he loves unconditionally,

"GET THE HELL OUT OF MY SIGHT AND DON'T YOU DARE TO RETURN BACK OR ELSE YOU HAVE TO BEAR THE CONSEQUENCES, GO AS FAR AS YOU CAN BECAUSE IF I FOUND YOU ONE DAY THEN BELIEVE ME THAT DAY WILL BE YOUR LAST DAY."

He said and pushed me out of the door and slammed the door on my face.
