"Do you think she knows?" Scarlett asked quietly.
"I think she may be onto us. I think she knows." James said.
"That lunch was so awkward, so many questions and people. I didn't know what to say or do. I could feel this tense pressure in the air. I'm sure she probably felt it too; that's why she probably thought we were hiding something." James added.
Scarlett nodded in agreement.
"I think we just got away with it," Scarlett exhaled.
"Yeah, I get a feeling she knows we're lying to her. We're going to have to tell her sooner than later. Just maybe not right now." James said
"I hope she doesn't know, but I agree with you; I get the same feeling that maybe Cadence does know what's going on," Scarlett added.
James nodded in agreement. He also felt like Cadence could sense something going on between them because they weren't acting like themselves.
James sighed to himself and looked to the ground.
