The drive home was silent, even from Sherlock. John and Sasha didn't speak other than the usual topics. Are you hungry? Are you okay? Where do you think those men got disappeared to?
Stuff like that.
Halfway home the car began to sputter, it was out of gas. John always kept his car topped off so there was never a problem with running out of fuel.
From the trunk Sherlock could be heard, "Give me, Ehhh, a sec."
Literally after a second the car fired up with a full tank of gas and it was actually running better than ever.
So we should sum this up real quick.
A dad and a daughter go out hunting for a pirates lost treasure. The daughter finds the spot immediately using her superior logic. They find a chest that only the daughter can pick up. The magical parrot in the chest made a car melt and made four men disappear.
Now the father and daughter are on their way home with a chest that only daughter can carry which apparently has a magical parrot inside of it that can speak English and make crazy impossible things happen at an instant.
The rest of the way home was silent. They made no stops. Both John and Sasha were extra aware of their surroundings due to the black car with black suited men finding them and trying to attack them.
Upon arrival home, Sasha immediately grabbed the chest and led it to the shed in the backyard. John grabbed all of the equipment, secured the car, surveyed the area for any unwanted visitors and followed Sasha.
Terry and Aaron exited the house in hopes of seeing all the coins and bottle caps the duo had found. Sasha's mom hugged her tightly as Aaron high fived his father like boys would do.
Terry looked into Sasha's eyes, "Well, did you find anything cool?"
Sasha smiled showing all her teeth, retainer and all, "Oh mommy, you won't believe it. I promise."
John jumped in, "Terry, we need to talk inside. We have to discuss something my love."
The four of them went inside as John and Terry went upstairs and Sasha and Aaron went to their rooms.
It was time to debrief Terry and see what she thought of all this.
