Chapter 16

Terry and John came downstairs after having a very deep discussion about what was going on and the pros and cons of this new found power. Sasha was their baby and only daughter. This can't be the way she is going to learn to grow up.

That being said, "Sasha, how's the training going sweetie?"

Sasha smiled, "I've got it down now dad. I'm ready for whatever needs to be done."

Sherlock nodded with positivity.

Taking a deep breath, "Your mother and I have a few concerns. We cannot allow you to go off on your own with a talking parrot to rescue a person none of us have met."

Sherlock responded, "I've met her."

John rebutted, "None of us humans have met her."

John and Terry had no idea that Sasha was secretly working to change their minds using her powers. Her palms blued the color of the sky. Her face never changing as she focused on both of them to ensure she would be able to perform the mission without any issues from her parents.

Suddenly, Sasha collapsed. She had drained her body of all its ability to stay conscious. Working two people's emotions at the same time seemed to be too much for her. Or was it?

When she woke with a warm wet cloth laid across her forehead, John and Terry, Dad and Mom, had changed their minds unknowingly. The fact that they were greatly against this mission was erased from their minds.

Shoot, John even offered to drive the four hundred miles to the hidden facility just on the outskirts of Langley, Virginia.

Sherlock informed them, "You will need, Ehhh, to pack for this, Ehhh, journey. Preferably, all black clothes, Ehhh, and hats. You'll, Ehhh, need food as well, Ehhh."

Packing quickly but precisely, John and Sasha followed Sherlock's instructions.

Sherlock yelped, "Also, very important, Ehhh, bring the stone. Ehhh, we must have the stone, Ehhh."

It was already done. The smooth, glowing stone was already snuggled up in Sasha's pocket. She could feel its presence. The warmth and power of it surged through her body.

It was time for the drive.
