Sirius Black ✔ Guardian

It started when I was in the half term of our fifth year. I was stupidly lost in the forbidden forest that night and was almost attacked by a werewolf. I even scathed myself after tripping into a large twig. The loud howl of the werewolf that was towering over me almost scared me to death. Its growl sending a chill down my spine, and I was shaking badly. Tears flowing freely down my cheeks as I wait for my death.

But it didn't come...

Another growl was heard, followed by thumping on the ground. I let my eyes wander around the shadows of the forest, and that's when I saw the glinting eyes in the dark. Another growl was heard, and a large black dog jumps into the air to push the werewolf away before it can ever hurt me.

The large black dog stands in all four in front of me, glaring at the werewolf that keeps trying to get to me. I felt a sudden feeling of being secure. It was like, a feeling of being protected. I stare at the back of the dog and watch how it grows back at the werewolf that keeps on trying to get near me.

Finally, a huge and tall stag run towards it and push it off. Flinging it's front legs as if trying to keep the werewolf away. It did get the werewolf to run away, and when it did, the stag looks behind it. I know it sounds ridiculous, but it seems like the stag look at the black dog and said something, which the black dog answered, because, after it, the stag run after the werewolf, and the dog stays.

Letting out a relieved sigh, I push myself up from the ground and brush the dust off of the scratch in my knees. I thought the black dog would leave after that, but it stays staring at me. Crouching in front of me and watching my every move. Kneeling in front of it, I cautiously caress its head. It didn't do anything harmful in my way. It only nuzzles my hand, as if it had known me all this time.

The black dog followed me until I was finally out of the forest and safe. It looks at my way one last time, before running on the other way.

After that, every night, the dog will see me. Whether I was in my dorm room and everyone is sleeping, or whenever I was alone. It got so attached to me, and so I am to it. To the point that I even sneak at nights just to see the dog. I even saw the same stag that saves me too, one night when I was with the dog.

I was so close to them, that I even once thought that they know me personally. But, that would be impossible, because well, they're animals and the night that they saved me was the first time that I saw them.

I was out one night. Of course, I sneak out. I run out of the school and into Hagrid's cabin. The half-giant doesn't forbid me from leaving school at such times, because he loves seeing me interacting with the black dog. I was laying on the field when the black dog came.

It quickly lay on my side, its wet nose, softly nuzzling my neck. I chuckled at its affection, and caress its fur.

"You know what, I have this feeling that you understand me," I said, facing my body towards the dog.

It lifts its head and stares right back at my eyes.

"I know this will sound crazy, but your eyes remind me of someone. You probably don't know him, but he's famous for being a playboy and a jerk. He's a bully, but I won't deny that he has the looks. Messy black hair, captivating black eyes, and alluring smirks. He doesn't know him, but I've been watching him. I know I sound like a stalker with that, but I have a crush on him since we were in the third year. Unfortunately, I'm not captivating at all that's why he never notices me."

A chuckle left my lips when the dog tilted its head as if it was surprising to hear what I just said.

"Yeah. Surprising right? I mean, I always act as I hate him, but deep inside, I was silently crashing because I know that I would never be a choice for him. His name is Sirius Black. Ironic, right? Black hair, black eyes, then black last name."

I force a laugh out of me because I was starting to feel disappointed. Sirius will never like me the way I like him.

"Speaking of Sirius... I think I need to name you. I can't just keep calling you black dog, and I just think of a perfect name."

I lean my face in the dog's and kiss its head.

"I'll name you Sirius because you just really reminds me of him. I just can't imagine how Sirius will react if he finds out that I name a dog after him." I said, ruffling the dog's fur while laughing.

"So... What happened with the dog?" I lift my head to look at Lily.

The girl loves my stories about Sirius. She wanted to see the dog, but she doesn't want to sneak out at night. What a good girl.

"Doing fine. He's growing larger."

"Larger? But I thought It was already large?" I chuckled at Lily's reaction. She's really surprised because I already told her how large Sirius is.

Speaking of Sirius...

"I just remember. I named him last night, and I think he likes it."

"He? You never mentioned before that it was a male dog."

"Well, sorry. I forgot."

"So... What did you name it?"

I bit my lower lip, and roam my eyes around the hall first. Making sure that the human owner of the name wasn't around, before leaning towards Lily.

"I named it Sirius."

Lily let out a laugh, which I joined afterward. I did think that it was hilarious, but it was really cute.

"You named it Sirius? Why? Do you like Black that much?" I playfully slap her shoulder and cover her mouth while laughing.

"No. That's not it. I named it after him because it looks like him." Lily's laugh gets louder, that the others are starting to stare.

"Looks like him? I never knew that Sirius looks like a dog. Hahaha!"

"No! That's not it." I can't help but laugh with her. It's just really sound hilarious.

"Then what is it?"

"It was because the dog has black fur, black eyes, and whenever I look at him, I keep remembering Sirius. It was as if the dog has this jerk side that Sirius has, even though I think the dog was a lot nicer than the person himself."

Lily just laughs at me again, and I playfully roll my eyes, before laughing after her.

"What do we have here?" I almost choke with my own words when someone sits beside me. Someone sits beside Lily too, but I was too surprised at the person on my side.

"S-Sirius?" I stuttered out, mentally slapping myself for doing so.

"Yes? What is it?" My eyes then widen when he said that as if it wasn't a big deal for him that he was sitting beside me.

He never sits beside me...

"Was it true?" Sirius' stares were giving me chills, so I quickly look away. Thankfully, James was talking to me.

"T-True what?" I watch him tried to snuggle his head on Lily's neck, but the latter just push him away. Even though I can see the blush on Lily's face.

"I heard from Hagrid that you told him that you were almost killed by a werewolf. That a stag and a large black dog saved you. Was it true?"

My brows furrowed when he asked that. I mean, why would Hagrid tell them that? Oh, yeah. Well, they're close. That's not impossible.

"Well, yeah. Why do you ask?"

"Well, I also heard that you became close to the dog. I was just fascinated by that. Did you name it? What's the name?"

It was only possible, I think everyone would see steam coming out of my head. I can feel my face heating up, and the feeling of Sirius' stares behind my head doesn't help at all.

"It–It was... I don't–I don't–"

Lily then looks between James when she notices how he winks at Sirius. She squints her eyes between the two guys, and as if she realizes something, her eyes widen. She quickly hit James in the shoulder. But I was too nervous to even mind their bickerings.

"Well, I heard you've been sneaking out at night to see the dog. Was that true?" I slowly turn around to look at Sirius. All the confidence I have whenever I'm calling him jerk had slipped out of my body. And I was left, stupidly nodding at him silently.

"Then, you wouldn't mind if I see you at Hagrid's cabin tonight, right?"

I unintentionally flinch when Sirius, grab a loose hair beside my face and push it behind my ear. He was smiling, and I was dumbfounded when I realize that it wasn't his usual playful cocky smile. It was sincere as if he was really happy.

"O-Okay."

"Great. Then I'll see you tonight." He winks at me, still smiling beautifully, before standing up from his seat.

I watch him grab James who was still trying to flirt with Lily, and even when they were out of the great hall, I was still staring at where they just went to.

I was nervously fidgeting when I arrived at the spot I used to lay on whenever I'm waiting for Sirius, the black dog. It was just a few feet away from Hagrid's cabin. It was almost midnight when Sirius came.

He was smiling when he reached me, and I can't help but stare at his lips. I wonder how they taste...

"Then why don't you kiss them?"

As if someone just poured a bucket of ice in my head, I let out a loud gasp and cover my mouth. I look at Sirius' face, and he's staring right back at me. His usual cocky smirk now plastered on his lips.

"D-Did I –"

"Just blurted that out? Yes. And I heard it."

How stupid I am to blurted out such a thing?!

"S-Sorry."

"What are you apologizing for? I've been wishing for you to do that all this time."

My brows furrowed after he said that. What does he mean by wishing me to do that? And do what?

"What?"

"Oh for Merlin's sake. Kiss me. All I want for you to do is kiss me!"

"What?! That would be–"

But before I can even make a point, Sirius' lips were already brushing softly against mine. He's... He's kissing me.

I felt my knees wobbling, and I was thankful that Sirius had grabbed my waist and pulled me into his body. His arms wrap tightly around my waist as if loosening a bit would cause him my disappearance.

I know that Sirius had kissed a lot of girls before, but having him kissing me right now, was the most magical thing I've ever felt. Slowly and hesitantly, I lift my arms and wrap them around his neck. Tiptoeing to deepen the kiss.

I felt the smile that sneaks into his lips between the kiss when I did so, and I felt happy to know that this wasn't just a play for him. He genuinely wanted to kiss me, and I feel the same.

We remained close to each other even though we stopped kissing. My head laying on top of his chest, as we lay down in the grass field. He was softly playing with the locks of my hair, while I play with his hand.

"Sirius..."

"Hmmh?" He hummed in response, kissing the top of my head.

"Do you... Do you–"

"Do I love you? Of course, I do." I felt the blush on my cheeks when he said that. It sounds easy on his side, while it took me almost three years to show him what I feel.

"Why do you act like you know what's going on inside my head?"

"Because I've been with you all this time. Though, I was a bit offended when you gave my name to a dog."

I frown for a moment, before abruptly sitting from lying beside him. I stare at his face, wondering how he finds out about that.

"How did you know about that?" He chuckles at my response, before grabbing my arm and pulling me back into him. Though this time, it wasn't to kiss me.

He pinned me down under his body and kisses nuzzle his nose against the skin of my neck. A moan leaving my lips, when I felt his tongue flick against the sensitive part of my neck. It was like, Sirius was acting like a dog...

Like a dog...

A gasp left my body at a realization... A memory flashing right before my eyes.

"I know that you boys were just worried about Mr. Lupin's situation, but doing an Animagus charm without a supervise of a teacher was dangerous. If I wasn't there, you guys would've been stuck forever inside the body of animals that you all had taken!"

Professor McGonagall was shouting at them when I saw all of them coming out of the Shrieking Shack...

"Oh my god!" I mumbled out loud, covering my mouth as I stare back at Sirius' laughing face.

"You finally figured it out?" Sirius flop down on top of me. He was a bit heavy, but that wasn't my problem at hand.

"It... It was you... The dog... The large black dog that saved me in the forbidden forest, and the dog that accompanied me all this time... It was you?"

Sirius' chest rumbled against mine, as he let out a laugh. He props his hands on the side of my head, to prevent himself from squishing me between his body and the ground. He once again leans towards me. His lips softly pecking a kiss on my forehead, down to my nose, then to my lips.

It was tender and soft as if he was being careful not to set me off...

"To be honest, I just wanted to save you and after that, I'll leave you alone. But... I felt this sudden feeling of wanting to protect you all the time. So, every night... I sneak into your dorm just to see if you were already sleeping and safe. And I would accompany you, whenever you sneak out of the school at night. Until I... I fall in love with you."

I can't help the stupid grin from curling into my lips. I wrap my arms around his neck and pull him down. Kissing him like what he just did earlier. The smile won't leave our lips.

"So... I've been confessing myself to a dog, which was the person I love?"

Sirius chuckle at my pouty expression, before nuzzling his nose in my neck again.

"Practically, yes."

We laugh together at our ridiculousness.

"I love you, Sirius. You may not realize it, but... You've been my guardian all this time."

"And I am ready to be your guardian dog, for the rest of our lives..."

"That sounds weird... How about guardian husband?"

A handsome grin finds its way on his lips, and I was once again captivated by it.

Well, looks like I would be captivated by it for the rest of our lives...
