// THIS IS AN OLD CHAPTER. THE NEW CHAPTERS ARE IN VOLUME 2. YOU CAN READ THESE CHAPTERS IF YOU WANT SOME INSIGHT ON WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN LATER BUT SOME EVENTS CAN BE DIFFERENT BETWEEN THE OLD AND NEW CHAPTERS.
The arrival of Harry with the two prefects cast a chill on the Gryffindor table who are much quieter than usual. At the same time, after what happened to Rose, the Gryffindor students I enslaved spent the rest of the year methodically destroying Harry's reputation. He no longer has any support within the castle walls other than perhaps some professors who are unaware of the history of the boathouse and Dumbledore.
After the distribution of new students and the banquet that follows, we are entitled as every year to a reminder of the rules from Dumbledore who also took the opportunity to announce the cancellation of this year's Quidditch Cup, which sparked a wave of discontent quickly interrupted by his next announcement.
"One particular event will be starting this October that will require all the attention of your teachers. And I'm sure you'll be delighted to hear that…" Dumbledore is interrupted by the opening of the doors of the Great Hall and the entrance. of Barty Crouch Junior as Alastor Moody. The room becomes entirely silent in his path as he walks over to Dumbledore. When he arrived in front of him, he whispered a few words in his ear before going to sit on a stool along the wall of the great room.
"I present to you, Alastor Moody, an Auror that the Ministry is sending us to ensure the security of the event that I will announce to you in a moment, give him a warm welcome" Dumbledore begins to applaud accompanied by Hagrid but people in the room does not want to welcome the sinister character. "Well as I was trying to tell you, Hogwarts is going to host an event that has not happened for almost a century, the Triwizard Tournament."
I was expecting a reaction from either Fred or George, but the mood is so gloomy at the Gryffindor table that neither of them interrupted Dumbledore. He ends his announcement by telling us that only students who are seventeen years old can participate, although I'm pretty sure I could participate if I really wanted to, there are a lot of ways to get around Dumbledore's protection.
The banquet ends and we head to our dorms to settle in our rooms and sleep. Out of curiosity, I still send the Blood Baron to examine the strange apparition I saw above Harry. He comes back an hour later to report what he saw to me.
"I haven't seen another ghost, master. But a strange force prevented me from taking possession of the boy or influencing his mind."
"Thank you, Baron, that'll be everything for tonight, you can go now."
If the Bloody Baron can't see him while he's also a ghost, there is only one explanation. It must be a spirit from the other side influencing our world, a wiccan more likely. But why is he intervening now and especially on Potter? I'm going to bed with more questions than before.
The next morning, I wake up to get my breakfast when suddenly an arm grabs mine as I open the door to my room.
"Hi Sean. Did you sleep well?" Daphne is already dressed, and I have the impression that she is wearing some light makeup, a little bit of lip gloss and the skin of her face is shinier as if she had just smeared lotion on it.
"Alright and you? Do you want to come with me to the great hall?" Daphne is about twenty centimeters shorter than me, which forces me to bend over slightly when she pulls me by the arm.
"Of course. Now that the marriage contract is over, I fully intend to win you over and that starts by showing the others that I'm already on you so they can start to look elsewhere."
"I Wasn't aware I was a competition?"
"Of course, you are, the most handsome boy in school, probably one of the best seekers the school had in a long time and an extremely wealthy young inventor. There are girls who make up stories about you in the girls' bathroom you know."
"Ah yes, I know, I destroyed those I found in the second-floor bathroom."
"What?! Tell me you kept the drawing where you face a Dragon to rescue a princess on top of a tower! It took me hours to draw it!"
"Uh no, I think I threw everything in the fireplace of the common room." Daphne's shoulders slump as she looks annoyed.
"All that time wasted." Suddenly she raises her head and looks me in the eyes. "But wait. What were you doing in the girls' bathroom?" Ah shit, I've said too much.
"What can I do to make you forget the part where I said I went to the girls' bathroom?" Daphne looks mischievous before smiling at me.
"Um, I want you to spoon feed me when we are at the table. "
"how about something a little less ... embarrassing?"
Daphne takes a deep breath before screaming. "SEAN BONES IS A PERVERT WHO ..." I don't give her time to finish her sentence when I press my hand against her mouth to silence her.
"Shhh, fine, you won, I'm going to stuff so much food in your mouth this morning, you are going to strangle yourself with the spoon."
We continue our way towards the great room with Daphne who seems to be the happiest girl in the world hanging on my arm.
