LIZZY HUGGED ME WHEN SHE saw me again. "Goddess, Val, it took you so long!" I felt my heart beat faster and hugged her back.

"He had a lot to say. But we managed to help each other," I looked to where Cass had left. Then I put some space between me and Lizzy. "Did your mom go to get our room keys?"

She nodded. "Yep. And she also went to send a message to the Leader of the Archipelago, saying that you had some very important matters to talk about with him!"

"Oh, how I wish my mom was at least a little bit like yours," she blushed. "But when we mary in the future she'll be my mother-in-law, so it'll be awesome," I purposely said that to make her blush, and it worked.

"I'm being serious, Lizzy," I smiled at her.

"You better be!" She exclaimed, fighting a smile.
