243 ※ His Straightforwardness [V]

"You should go, Joshua," I said at final.

"I know. Do you feel better, love?"

I blinked, "About the kidnapping? Yes."

"No, about what you rent out when I got here."

The memory of what I said, thinking I was alone with Chaos, made my skin heat of and embarrassment take over, "Ah..." I chuckled anxiously, "how much of that did you hear?"

"I got here when you were saying that every part of you hurt," he said softly and I did my best not to let out a sigh of relief.

{"Thankfully he didn't hear you saying anything about being back or being under Dalilah's control,"} Chaos sighed for me.

My thoughts exactly.

"That was embarrassing, I hope you can pretend you didn't hear any of that."

"Only if you tell me if you feel better, love."

I nodded, "I do. I'm just weirded out now. By you, before you ask."

"As long as I stay in your mind, I don't mind how that happens," he chanted. "Because you're on my mind all the time."
