Wang Jing

The "unconscious" Zhan Wei slept for a while, when he woke up he found out he was in his tent.

he could smell the aroma of herbal concoction, standing up from the floor bed he followed the aroma to outside his tent where he saw qing'er fanning the flames of a small cauldron.

He had left his maid qing'er with the Second Elder and Xiaomei when he decided to pitch his tent elsewhere  probably the Second Elder or the Empress had asked her to come back.

Hearing his steps , Qing'er turned back and greeted him with a smile on her face " Young Master !".

Actually it was the Second Elder, after carrying Zhan Wei and discovering he was not unconscious only sleeping, he felt he was just exhausted and had told qing'er to look after him.

As a maid that had accompanied him from a very young age, Zhan Wei felt very comfortable with qing'er.

Nodding towards her with a smile , he took a stool and sat outside.

He didn't know how long he slept for but he knew he woke up in the evening due to the sun set.

Recalling what happened before he slept Zhan Wei sighed, it had already happened he could only deal with what ever issues that arose as a result of using the Sacred blood demon transformation.

Cursing the wind spirit wolf in his mind for forcing his hands , he planned to visit the stall of the treasure Pavilion to convert all his spirit stones to Qi cultivation resources.

Although Zhan Wei had exhausted his spirit stones in buying the blood essence of demon king in the treasure pavilion previously, the Emperor had given him some spirit stones.

Thinking back, he spent all his money everytime in the treasure pavilion, Zhan Wei felt he had to benefit from the treasure pavilion by enjoying their price slash.

Later after freshening up , he was about to go look for Yunzi to go together to the treasure pavilion stall when qing'er told him he had a visitor.

He wasn't expecting anyone , going outside to meet his so called visitor, he saw a middle aged man pacing about.

Seeing the middle aged man, Zhan Wei thought, " wasn't this the strange man that ran over to assist him when the wind spirit wolf had attacked ".

Although he only reached him when he had already deflected the wind spirit wolf, he still appreciated his efforts.

Cupping his fist, Zhan Wei thanked him," this junior thanks Senior for his help in killing the wind spirit wolf ".

Xue Feng's face almost twitched on hearing him, Zhan Wei had given him credit for killing the wind spirit wolf , although he had indeed finished it off, it was already on it's dying breath, without doing anything it would have still died.

Putting a guilty look on his face Xue Feng said, " I don't deserve junior's thanks , to be honest I was the one fighting the wind spirit wolf, by mistake I swept it to your  side, I'm glad junior is ok ".

Zhan Wei froze, this was the bastard that caused the attack of the wind spirit wolf on him.

Probably it was by mistake and since the other party was repentant it didn't matter, putting a smile on his face Zhan Wei waved his hands saying it was ok.

After introducing himself the other party wanted to invite him over the next day to properly apologize, according to him he had been worried about his situation so he had been around waiting, after a while he asked qing'er if he was awake then asked to see him.

Zhan Wei was about to accept his invitation, when he saw qing'er looking  strangely like she wanted to say something, knowing she wouldn't bother him if it wasn't important , he asked her " is there an issue ?".

Although her relationship with Zhan Wei was good, as a maid it wasn't her place to interrupt when her master was talking but Zhan Wei was about to accept an invitation.

" Young Master, the Empress asked you return back to your original tent saying if you were around experts of the Imperial family, your safety would be assured.

Zhan Wei felt it made sense, perhaps if he went back he could start eating some nice food , he was already tired of the vital broth.

Cupping his fist , " I'm afraid I'd have to refuse Senior's invitation ".

A strange light flashed through Xue Feng's eyes, he planned to invite him over to find out if he was on to their plans and if possible probe the technique he used in the battlefield since it also had demonic origin.

Maybe Zhan Wei could even switch to their faction after all according to his Master Zhan Wei had the bloodline of the blood demon clan.

Zhan Wei leaving here made things harder,  the area where the imperial family stayed was surrounded by experts even the Empress was a powerhouse, staying with the imperial family Zhan Wei could even tell the Empress if he was suspicious.

Seemed like he could only handle things tonight, waving his hands that it was ok, after some pleasantries he left.

After sending of his visitor, Zhan Wei went to where he planned on going before Xue Feng came.

On getting to Xia Yunzi's tent her maid Cai'er told him she was in seclusion.

if it was before he might not be able to tell much but after he started cultivating spirit qi he was more sensitive to the it , from the spirit fluctuations from her tent he could tell she was breaking through.

Turning back Zhan Wei sighed, while others started from scratch some geniuses were far ahead, Yunzi was born in the innate sea realm cultivation according to what he knew she had a special constitution and was already in the later stages of the qi refinement realm.

After the qi refinement realm was the Core gathering realm , in the Eastern region cultivators in the Core gathering realm were already known as experts, some were even heads of small forces.

Since he couldn't go with her he could only go alone, the main reason he liked going with Xia Yunzi was because she was more knowledge.

the truth was Xia Yunzi was older than him, although it was just a year and it didn't really matter she knew more about things than him, from a young age she had had tutors on all kinds of subject, just the few months he had lessons with her in the imperial palace he felt a bit learned.

On getting to the treasure pavilion stall a maid attended to him, since he wasn't in an hurry Zhan Wei took his time, after his fight today he wanted to take his Qi cultivation serious.

Everything he saw he had the maid explain , the Treasure Pavilion deserved it's reputation even it's small stall wasn't small at all, looking at the parched maid that was clearly tired from talking a lot Zhan Wei felt guilty, he had made the maid  explain to  him the uses of all kinds of things.

On one hand it was to properly understand their uses, it was also to expand his knowledge, taking a bottle of spirit wine from his  storage he tried offering it to her.

The maid refused with a smile after all it was clearly her work still she was tired,  looking around she tried to find someone to take over from her.

Seeing another maid she tried calling to her when a beautiful young woman walked towards them.

she wore a luxurious green robe and long hair that reached her waist , her facial features looked ordinary but joined together on her face she was simply breathtaking.

She smelled like flowers and walked on bare feet, tiny ankle bells on her legs giving a soft melodious tune, with her shapely figure she gave a sultry yet pure feeling.

The maid bowed at the young woman, " Young Miss !".

The lady waved her hand at the maid , telling her to go then faced Zhan Wei with a smile.

He didn't know why she was here but since the maid greeted her she was probably an important figure in the treasure pavilion.

s he cupped his fist towards her , " I wonder if this miss has anything to say to  me ".

If possible He'd like to go straight to the point, he didn't have time to waste

With the smile still on her face Wang jing said , " Junior brother is very handsome , I like you".

Zhan Wei felt his face twitch at her reply , without waiting for him to say anything she  stretched her hand and pulled his, " Come let me show you around".

since he didn't feel any malicious intent he just let go after all he was in the other parties ground, causing unnecessary attention wouldn't do him any good.

Dragging him around Wang Jing introduced the things around to him as the maid did , She probably had more knowledge than the maid as she explained everything to the least detail.

He wasn't lustful but Wang jing was very sexy, her charm just seemed to absorb him , at times her body would collide with his as they moved around, he hadn't even been this close with his Fiancee.

going round without really finding anything suitable, he asked the lady beside him.

after asking him what he needed spirit herbs for , Wang Jing  finally told him he was going about it wrongly.

according to her he couldn't just go around buying spirit herbs , it was mainly alchemist that did so.

Spirit herbs were different from spirit fruits , he couldn't just eat them they were refined into pills for cultivation, eating spirit herbs was wasting them.

Alchemists refined the essence of spiritual herbs into pills and all kinds of pills with different uses existed.

In fact he knew a bit about pills , Yunzi had taught him the vital pill recipe and he had won an high grade body cleansing pill from Chen Feng in the banquet.

Due to not being able to cultivate spirit qi before, most of his time was either spent practice the Primordial Chaos God Scripture or practicing his weapon arts.

Even when he started cultivating in Imperial Capital , it was mainly the Emperor using his qi to nourish him and eating some body nourishing meals.

Zhan Wei felt he was far behind his peers in knowledge in so many areas , cupping his fist towards her he told Wang jing to take him to where pills where.

Wang Jing smiled at him and nodded her head.

After a while Zhan Wei finally decided on some qi condensing pills , according to Wang Jing qi condensing pills could increase the amount of qi in the body of a cultivator and aid cultivation.

Buying a few few high grade qi condensing pills after Wang Jing told him it had lesser amount of impurities, he was about leaving when he saw Wang Jing look at him with a strange smile.

He was done buying what he wanted, so he asked " ehhm , any issue ?".

" Junior brother hasn't told me his name ".

" Ohh , Zhan Wei ", after that he turned and left.

The smile on Wang Jing's face vanished after he left.

she had asked someone to inform her if Zhan Wei came back

Ever since he had caused a commotion in the treasure pavilion, She had paid attention to him.

Even when he bought the blood essence of the blood demon king she knew about it

according to her sources he had used a demonic technique to repel a spirit beast today.

although a spirit beast of that level didn't mean anything to her one had to know that Zhan Wei's cultivation was barely at the meridian opening realm.

A mere trifling meridian opening cultivator dared absorb the blood essence of a demon king and he showed no sign of being influenced by it's  demonic will.

In fact when Chen Hong felt a bloodline connection from Zhan Wei he had just thought Zhan Wei got his bloodline from a blood demon as for his bloodline being from his main body, he didn't even think about it.

The stronger the bloodline the higher the resistance and danger , how could a mere meridian opening realm cultivator dare absorb the blood essence of a demon king, even if he did it was impossible to survive.

But Wang Jing was different, she knew when he bought it back then and she had wondered what use he had for it but now .....

" Interesting ! " , then she turned back.
