Power Of The Gods

Greta called for everyone to fall back to her home for safety until they could put together a plan to fix the hole in the wall. Yelling and shoving came as people started to run for her front door while in the background a large cloud started to close in on them. She didn't want to admit it, but she was starting to become scared for everyone's safety. She didn't want everything she had spent time building to collapse in this one single moment.

Pulling up the rear Greta and her bodyguard closed the door behind them causing the air system to start cleaning the air. It felt like forever, but when the bell finally chimed people felt relief as they could take off their masks safely. All together they took a deep breath before finding a place to sit down as tension and fear filled the room. It was clear to her and everyone around that an obvious number of friends had been lost in those quick moments.

"We need to form a team that can go start repairs on the wall. Another team needs to be formed to go retrieve filters from the storage across the yard. We don't know what happened to cause the breach or if it was someone that caused the-" Her speech was interrupted by the sound of vehicles entering the dome. "What the fuck is that?"

Before anyone could peak out of the windows a voice over a speaker could be heard from outside. "Everyone who lives here needs to give up now or be forced to leave. We sent someone here to make sure we could live in peace and he has not returned or responded to our outreach. His gps is gone so he is seen by dead for all purposes."

Greta put her mask on before signaling for everyone else to do the same. After everyone could be seen with their masks on she exited her home and shut the door behind her. The situation outside was a yard filled with trucks and soldiers who now wore a more sophisticated system to keep them safe in the fog. She prepared herself to speak as guns trained themselves on her.

"Ma'am you and anyone else here needs to give yourselves over to us. At least until we can find out man."

She gave a smile under her mask before speaking. "We can't do that. This is because your man is already dead."

After she spoke a soldier reached for her only to be stabbed by her. All thoughts in her mind had left her as she attacked the soldier. The others in response shot her killing her before she could hit the ground. As her body fell the soldiers moved on the house to arrest what was left of her people.

"Have you found the power of a god?" A presence could be felt not around her, but within her as her body began to grow cold.

"All gods have no physical bodies. So this is just my next step." Her voice didn't come from her body, but from her soul as it was leaving her below her.

"Perhaps you will become a god, but for that we will need to see if your words carry on with the living."

"One can only hope to become a god, but I do not want to become one of death like you."
