Leon is falling down, fast, and he is atleast a kilometer in the air, so there was no way he's going to suvive the fall, right?
Well it would be true if not for the light that embrace him right before he landed.
"OOF, what in the world" Leon mutterrd while taking in the surrounding around him.
"W-where am I, John? Guys? WHERE ARE YOU ALL!" He screamed out loud in panic.
'The surrounding, it's snowing but I'm not cold? Well it wouldn't be the weirdest thing that happened today' Thought Leon
He quickly adapted to his situation as it dawned upon him that today, the world changes and he needs to do so too. He quickly try to plan out what he need to do right now but then.
A voice was suddenly ringing in his ear, but it wasn't the same as the system's lifeless voice, and instead is a soothing voice of a guy.

{Host, do you wish for an explanation of why you were not restrained back at your earth?}
A chance to figure out the mystery of what's happening? Leon won't pass it up for anything.
"Please tell me what's happening oh dearest voice in my head"

"Oh um, Sure i guess... I'll call you Luthir since you sound so badass" Leon answered while still being clueless on what's going on.

Leon keeps his quiet and listen diligently to get a clue on what's going on.
{The system.... It comes from another universe, an otherverse you can call it. It has existed as long as the otherverse so it has essentially been around for eternity. The system is a being that was neutral and grant a game like interface to any living being in the otherverse to help them evolve and get stronger quickly so they can survive. In the recent millenias however, the system have shown to gain sign of... ambition you may call it . }
Luthor paused for awhile for dramatic effect before it continues
{It has shown to gain sentience in the recent millenias and have used its new-found intelligence to command an army of the most superior creatures called the Zarkabon}
"Wait, so the weird looking human is called Zarkabon? " Leon asked with interest as he rememberd the human resembling creature that shatterd a man head like it was nothing.
{Indeed Host. The Zarkabon are the most superior species in the otherverse. While they are not the strongest nor the smartest, they achieve perfect harmony between strength and smarts to become the most superior species. There also exist variant Zarkabon which are born with greater strength or intelligence than its brethren.}
{The system chose the Zarkabon as it planned to conquer different universes to merge them with the outerverse so that the system's grip on creature will increase infinitely without a limit. The cause for it's action are currently unknown but what matters is that it is conquering countless of other universes. It disguise its plan by making it seem like a game so as to make more Zarkabon enticed and play the game. Though their true body is still in the otherverse and the body you saw in your world was nothing but a projection and can be revived infinitely with some minor penalty so they are not under the risk of their true body dying whatsoever.}
"Wait, if that's the case, then what are you Luthor? " Leon asked after hearing it's explanation for awhile.
{Luthor is a part of the system that have gained its own independent sentience and are aware that what the system is doing is nothing more than meaningless genocide and should be stopped. The system only sent little part of itself to different world so that's why I was able to bring you here Leon. If the true system was here, then Luthor could've never bring you away from it.}
Leon was shocked by the revelation. After a minute of processing this info, he asked the crucial question
"Then Rex, why did you choose me? "

Confused, Leon asked again

"So Luthor. ... Im guessing that I have to control these so living beings, but I don't even know where to start? " Asked Leon

Demonic beast are essentially creatures that are condemned by the system since all of them can grow infinitely through consumption of another demonic beast's flesh. Leon was ecstatic as that sounded cool and made him sound like an mc of a third grade novel
His happiness was quickly drowned out though as he realized that he will essentially fight another universe just by himself and his army
'Even though I usually thought that i would kill for a chance to live in a world with a system, it is much more different than what i was expecting. Reality... Is often dissapointing.' Thought Leon

Leon filtered everything out as he focused on the mage option. To him, it's a no brainer. It was always a dream of his from a young age to be a mage who can hurl out thunder and fly with the wind. Mage are also the most versatile as they have spells for every situation.
"I dont need any explanation, I want the mage class Luthor! " Shouted Leon with excitement.

"What's a lesser elemental skill Luthor? " Leon asked

A list pops up infront of Leon. It was a list of countless of spells and Leon's head was hurting from indecision as all the spells look good... So he made a decision
"Rex, pick the best spell for me that will fit my current situation" Leon asked for Rex's help as he know he is not smart enough to make the decision himself.

[Fire Whip]
The caster generate a burning hot whip that can be used versatily. The caster can control the temperature and length so it can be used as a normal whip and maneuver around an area.
Mana cost: 1/second - 10/second depending on the temperature and lenght.

[Rock Hard]
The caster create an armor made out of rock that will encase the caster inside and reduce all incoming attack at the cost of the caster's mobility
Damage Reduction: -50% damage from incoming attack
Mobility Reduction: -25% movement speed
Mana Cost: 60 Mana
Duration: 1 minute
Cooldown: 2 minutes
[Earth Spike]
The caster put their hand to the ground or wall and summon a row of spikes that extend up to 15 meter dealing 100 magic damage. The change to the terrain is temporary as it it will return to its original state in a minute, though the caster can prolong the time it takes to return to normal by pumping more mana.
Mana cost: 10 mana
Cooldown : 10 seconds
[Freezing Bolt]
The caster harness the power of ice as they create an ice bolt that can stun the enemy from up to 100 meter away and deal 60 magic damage
Mana Cost: 20 mana
Cooldown: 10 seconds

"Wow that's pretty amazing, mage was truly the best choice. Let's see a spell for escaping, one for defense, one can be used versatily and two are attack spells... this is quite good, thank you for choosing for me Luthor" Told Leon

"Right on time for my woah.... I think this is the best time to use wind escape... " Leon was excited to capture some demonic beast before he turned around and saw a 10 meter tall ape looking at him from a short distance. The ape's body was muscular and its fur was a bluish white. Its face was ferocious as it looked like an expression of looking at its prey.
{That is a Grade 1 demonic beast called Snow Ape. The only thing worth mentioning is it's size and its ability to withstand the cold but it's weak to fire and slow. Leon, you should make him your first beast follower}
Leon was still nervous but he reminded himself that he needs to start somewhere and now that he's a mage, he's no longer bound by common sense that made him think he can't defeat this snow ape.
A surge of blue wisp that's shooting out tiny sparkle of snowflakes gathers in his hand as he mentally cast his spell.
