Hogman rushed into the cave with moist eyes. Was he crying in the dark? Aster couldn't say. But he knew that if he were in Hogman's place, he would be doing the same. Not the same in all aspects, he cry even more. He would never want to lose the trust of long time friends. But... what done was done. Hogman couldn't change that even if he wanted to.
The four people who were left in the cave shut their mouths and raised their eyebrows on purpose so as to ask what had happened out there. They couldn't reveal that they had knew everything already. If they told, Sienna would be kicked out after Schwann erase her memory.
Hogman pursed his lips. So did the others. This is where things always get irritating. Someone asks something to someone else and this someone else is not responding! He even ignored their looks! Ah!!! Frustrating! Eren and Aster were all set to nag Hogman with questions once he came back. But in this state, they couldn't even ask what the matter was. That was just too bad. Too too bad! Eren's and Aster's faces had a frown which could be clearly seen by Tania and Sienna.
Tania and Sienna had expected such a reaction. They were sensible. They were not like those eccentric boys who just jumps into troubles and dangers and trifles without thinking. That had caused a lot of issues recently. They gave those mindless boys a cold look. Eren slightly trembled at their looks. Aster's face was wickedly blank. He just sat there expressionless. Of course, he understood the meaning of their looks.
After what seemed to be an years time, the uneasy silence in the cave was broken by the squeaking of a rat. Everyone got up from their trance. Amelia added more firewood to the burning fire. Schwann couldn't stand being silent any longer. Eren and Aster were the only ones who were lively even when everyone behaved as in a funeral. Those two were restless and shifted positions and drew stickmen on the ground with their fingers for timeless. They were tired of this silence strike and endless silence.
Eren couldn't contain his urge to talk. He and Aster had been bearing with this stupid silence only because of the cold stares Tania and Sienna had given them.
Eren stood up like a lightening bolt. "What the fuck is happening in here? Anyone gonna talk? Something sad happened out there or what? Huh? I and Aster are disturbed with this heck of a silence game. Now! I'm a donkey. I spoke first. I accept defeat. That was the thing, wasn't it? Please don't tell me it wasn't." He stood there scratching his head without recieveing any response. He just got blank stares.
He was irritated and confused. He pulled his own hair as if he had gone mad. "Anyone speaking? Did someone mute all your channels. What's happening here? Can anybody respond? Can you atleast hear me?"
Aster's mouth slowly widened into a huge smile, which turned into a gigle and then a loud laugh. He laughed harder and harder. Aster actually gave a kick off for everyone to laugh. All of them except Hogman laughed hard until their stomachs hurt.
Sienna saw that Hogman was still sad. She stood up and went upto him. She couldn't bear it either. Loss of best friends can be a trauma. Not only for Hogman but for everyone. But this...
"*cough* *cough* Mr Hogman...?" Everyone stared at Sienna.
"Mmm?" Hogman responded but did not look up. Seeing his response Sienna sat near him. She looked at him.
"Look...I know. I shouldn't have done that. But..."
"We asked Sienna to..." Aster began.
Schwann raised an arm silencing him. "How often do they ask you to do that?"
"Only twice until now." Sienna chose to be truthful.
"Only twice? When were those times?" Schwann asked again.
"Once when we went into the cave. And then... just now."
"You saw what happened there? Did YOU?" Schwann asked.
"Yes... and... I think it was unfair. I know what happens in the world. My parents had restricted me from using this skill... but I have been using it for the past some years. Not because I wanted to. But because, it was a necessity. Whenever a major crime occurred, I could get vibes. These vibes I get differ. And sometimes, I used to look into those crimes too. I mean I know about many unsolved cases. And those two who came looking for Hogman were criminals too, weren't they?" Sienna looked at Hogman.
The others were shocked at Sienna's words.
Hogman was startled. 'How much did she know?'
Schwann saw Hogman's reaction. If those two were criminals as Sienna told, they (everyone in the cave) would in trouble. For the first time, Schwann doubted his own decision. He shouldn't have let them go. Schwann couldn't trust criminals.
"Who were they Hogman? Just tell us everything." Amelia demanded.
"They... They were...." Hogman began.
