The master smiled as if he was satisfied with the answer.
The master comped his beard with his own hands. "So... you think they came here through a gate and a guardian did not help them to come here."
Eager was confused. "Yes sire..."
"So, do you believe in the possibility of another gate?"
"Here? In our planet?"
The master nodded.
"I can't be sure, but there is a possibility."
"So, do you think we can get a way to go there?" The mastertook a sip from his wine glass. He had a naughty smile playing on his lips.
"Maybe..." Eager was unsure of what to say. He was panicking. He felt ditching his own mouth. Why the hell did he speak about a gate. If the master asks him to find it... Oh no! I'll end up like Denver. No no no no no...
"Then Eager start searching for a gate to Earth." The master shot him a glare after he said that.
Eager trembled under the glare. He didn't even dare to mumble or even think of cursing the master on his face. He bowed to him and left.
The moment he left the room, he stormed into the army barracks. He was angry. That was clear to everyone. He was so angry that, he would destroy the barracks in one spell. He cursed enrolling in the army. He cursed Denver's death. It's because of Denver that he was in trouble. He thought so even though he knew that wasn't exactly right.
Because of Denver's death, Eager was now the new General. He was clearly more capable than Denver, but was pushed back by Denver due his poor family background. But now that he is dead, Eager was the next General.
Eager was storming with anger. He could help tapping his heals repeatedly on the ground. He pulled down a huge curtain in anger. Everyone who saw his actions gaped. They couldn't do a thing. Everyone knew Eager had a bad temper. Even though he wasn't a General in the Royal Army, everyone knew his nature well. He was loyal to the crown, capable and efficient, but just had a very bad temper. This one fault was used by Denver to get the position as the General.
He shot glares at everyone around him and stomped on the ground, before lifting a table and throwing it away.
"The first thing I have to do is search for a gate? What sort of gate? How would that ***** gate look like? Any clues?" He asked the other soldiers. "Any son of a ***** have that ***** answer? No? No! It's a goddamn no!"
"How the hell do you think I'm gonna search for that gate? Huh?"
The other soldiers in the barrack did not even understand what gate Eager was referring to. Nobody understood what he was speaking about. All they understood was that their new General had gone nuts over searching for a gate.
Dever couldn't control his anger. He started mumbling. He was just mumbling, but everyone could hear it. "Search a gate? Gate gate gate gate gate GATE! Find a goddamn gate?!" He slammed his hands down on a pillar.
He turned to the soldiers and asked. "Don't you people think so?"
The soldiers were blank. What to think? Wasn't that sentence uncomplete? What did he actually ask?
Just then, Eager's best friend, Jaden, who was also in the army, came in. He had heard about the order to search for a gate. He rushed to see his friend's condition.
"What happened Eager?"
Eager who was frustrated showed a pitiful face. "I dug my own grave. That's what happened!"
Everyone knew what he meant by that. If the gate was not found. Eager would be fed to the dragons too.
Just then something clicked in Jaden's mind.
"I have an idea."
