01 | Worst Fear

01 | Worst Fear

Paige's Point of View ~

All my life I've grown up knowing the beach is my home. It's the kind of place that blows all your worries and bad thoughts away, leaving you at peace with sand and sea shells. Yeah, yeah, sounds impossible, but it's nice. I've moved from place to place, but it's always been at or near the beach. I live at the beach with my twin sister, dad, and step mom. I have a little brother who's 12, and guess what? His name is Ocean. My name is Paige, and my sister's name is Ronnie. My parents went their separate ways when I was about three years old. My mom lives in LA with my step dad and two younger sisters. I'm the oldest out of

my siblings.

"Paige?" My twin Ronnie asks. She's dozing off, staring at her piles of clothes. We are at our moms house packing our bags to go to our dads house for the summer. We go to our dads house every other week and stay there for one week, but when summer comes we stay at the beach for the whole summer.

"Uh, Yeah?" I turn to her to see her packing the new clothes she just ordered online.

"Should I bring this tank top, or this t-shirt?" She's holding up a pink floral cropped tank top and an over sized t-shirt with some sort of blue snake on it. "Both, but remember to bring that one swimsuit," I answer her, pointing to a lavender colored swimsuit and its bottoms.

"No, just in case you run out," I say sarcastically.

My dad normally picks us up to take us to his house, but I've decided to try something new, and drive. I've always been afraid of driving. It's scary. I'm not so good at it, but my sister is.

"Would you please shut up, I'm facing my worst fear here," I ask her as she stops drinking and mixes her coffee with her plastic straw.

"No, I need this or I'll be a zombie for the rest of the day," She answers, then starts drinking her drink again.

She notices me glaring at her plastic straw. She turns to me and says, "Why don't you take a picture It'll last longer?" She snaps and pulls out her phone.

"That straw is really bad for the environment," I say as I fix my brown hair that was falling out of the ponytail I had put it in earlier.

"Whatever," she says and turns her attention towards her phone, and she swipes through some random guys Instagram page.

I sigh and turn on the radio. The only music on the radio is DaBaby, so I turn it up so I can't hear her bad manners, and get on the road.
