Three Birds, One Stone

"That's just how most humans are," said Cloe. "You're the weird one here. Most humans are never satisfied in life."

"And you think I am?" asked Raelle.

"You seem like you are," was Cloe's response. "Or maybe I should say that you just accept whatever life throws at you rather than questioning it like most people do. I have never seen you blaming fate."

"When a person focuses on the plate right in front of his eyes rather than the pot placed in the middle of the table, everything becomes easier to accept in life."

"I don't understand."

"It means focus on what you have rather than what you can have. In the process of focusing on what we could have, what we have loses its brightness and value too. Don't you agree?"

Cloe nodded her head in agreement, "I do agree with this. Thanks for the reminder though." She took a pause to observe Raelle's face before asking, "So?"

"So what?"
