Azrael and the holy child meet

Azrael land outside Mary's home after flying for about a week. He knocked on the door and a maid welcomed him inside after she got over her shock at seeing the holy priest for the first time. The maid took Azrael into mary's bedroom. Azrael walked over to the bed where mary was sitting rocking back and forth. Mary looked up she saw the holy priest her eyes light up "Are you here to kill that demon that took the place of my child" mary said. Azrael was confused for a second then he realized she was talking about the sister God had mentioned and a look of horror washed over his face for mary had not only asked him to kill someone but the one who was going to be his sister. " why in the world would I kill someone," he said. Mary said, " but that is a demon, not a human so can kill it right." Azrael shook his head and put mary to sleep.

He walked out of the room into the room next door. He came to a stop as soon as he saw his sister for she had wolf ears on her head and was so small. She turned to him and he heard her voice in his head " who are you" she asked. He said out loud " I am the holy Priest Azrael. I am here for you." she asked, " are you here to kill me." Azrael shook his head and asked, " why would you ever think I came here to kill you?" she answered him " because my mom says I am a demon why else would a holy priest come except to kill me." Azrael was shocked.

"No, I am not here to kill you but to take you with me." She asked, "why?" Azrael answers "because you are just a holy child like me. By the way what is your name my child." she looked to the side and answered," I do not have a name for my mom never gave me one." Azrael looked at her and tilted his head and thought for a moment" Would it be okay if I gave you a name and took you to the church with me to raise you like family?" she nodded her head " can I call you Father Azrael?" He nodded back and " yes you can I will name you Eliza" he picked her up and held her to his chest.

Eliza was supposed to be held for the first time since the midwife left. It was very warm and calming in Azrael's arms. She felt relieved and started to cry. Azrael patted her back as she cried "There there everything is going to be okay you won't be alone ever again you have me now "
