"Why did you do that?" her team asked her as she returned to her seat.
"I'll explain in a bit. Let's go to our practice room first," Soo Ah said before standing up to leave.
Her teammates follow behind her. After a few minutes, they got to their practice room.
"Alright, I'll explain my choice to you guys," Soo Ah said as she sits down on the practice room floor and gestures her teammates to do the same.
"I did the math, the choreography that will get you a score of higher than 10 will take you at least a whole week to master. That means the chances of getting a perfect score will be almost impossible. Let's say we somehow mastered the dance in three days, we're not just dancing, we're also singing. The songs that give you above 10 points all have many high notes, on top of that, Dandelion's choreography makes it even harder to have stable vocal during those high notes. That almost guarantees us a zero. So would you choose something you know is possible or do something almost impossible and hope for a miracle to happens?" Soo Ah explained.
"You're right," Kyung Mi said.
The others nodded in agreement.
"Alright, let's distribute the parts," Soo Ah said as she handed out the lyrics paper. She then played the song on her phone for everyone to listen to.
They listened to the song several more times before they began distributing parts. Soo Ah carefully analyze the song and recommend them for the appropriate member. After a while, they finished distributing parts and began going over the choreography. They altered the choreography to fit a group of 4 people. Then they began practicing. Time quickly passed by and it is now already pass midnight. The four of them parted ways and went home to rest.
"I'll see you guys tomorrow!" Kang Hyun waved.
"Bye!" Kyung Mi waved.
"See ya!" Min Jun said.
"Bye!" Soo Ah said.
"Do you wanna stay over again?" Soo Ah asked knowing that their dorms are already closed.
"Do I really have a choice?" Min Jun asked.
"Yes, actually," Soo Ah said, "the street or my house."
They chuckled.
"You still have extra clothing right?" Soo Ah asked.
"Yea, got some from the locker. It's essential when your dorm closes at midnight," he mentioned.
"I know," Soo Ah replied.
"Come to think of it, why do they close the dorm so early? It really prevents us from making the most of our time."
"Because they don't want us minors being out so late at night. They also want us to get enough sleep for the day since we all go to school early."
"They do got a point. So you're moving to the older dorm next year?"
"Yup."
"Must be nice. That's something old Soo Ah would say because she doesn't have an apartment. Now, I have an apartment of my own so I could just stay and practice as much as I want."
"Lucky you, I'm still stuck for another year."
"Don't you think it's weird how they close the dorm at midnight but don't make the minors go home before midnight? They could just stay and practice for as long as they want."
"No idea."
They reached Soo Ah's apartment and went inside. Soo Ah immediately opened the fridge and searched for something to eat. She found some fresh fruits and took them out.
"Want some?" She asked holding out the fruits.
"Yes please, I'm starving," he replied.
"Shouldn't you be eating a whole meal if you're starving?"
"No can do, I'm on a diet."
"Here, help me peel them," Soo Ah handed him a mango.
"You know, you can stay with me at my apartment for the next year or so if you want. The apartment is a bit too big for just one person, you know?" Soo Ah said to Min Jun as she peels the fruits
"Thank you for the offer, I'll think about it," Min Jun replied.
"I should probably move my things in soon and tell the dorm management about me moving out."
"You'll probably be able to in about 2 days. After all, we'll most likely get the rest of the day off after the test."
"True. By the way, isn't the SAT coming soon?"
"Yea, it's in two weeks. The other students have already started prepping and here I am, participating in a competition, which I did not sign up for, to win a chance to debut."
"You'll do great! If you need help, you can tell me, I'll try my best to help you!"
"Thank you, really."
"Its nothing. After all, we're still family by law," Soo Ah reminded.
"I'm gonna go freshen up and get some rest now, see ya tomorrow," Soo Ah said before heading to her room, leaving Min Jun by himself.
