Second

"Hello, I'm Nam Min Jun and I'll be performing my version of 5UMMIT's I'm Still Loving You. I hope you will enjoy my performance," He said confidently with a bright smile.

"You've always placed first on these tests, I'm looking forward to your performance!" Said one of the judges. He had been ranking them since their very first test.

The light turned off and the music began. A soft calming melody filled the room. The light turned back on and Min Jun started singing. His singing is full of warmth. 5UMMIT's I'm Still Loving You is a song about one's wish to turn back time so they could treasure that relationship more. His version of the song is almost like a reply to its meaning. It's as if he's comforting the one in the story. This was completely unexpected.

When his performance ended, it left everyone wanting more. The judges took turns giving Min Jun compliments.

"Once again, I'm Min Jun. Thank you for watching my performance!" Min Jun said and bowed at the judges. He then left the stage.

Later that day.

Min Jun arrived at the funeral right after the results were announced.

"Min Jun, you can go ahead and say your prayer to her," Soo Ah's mom said.

After saying his prayer to her, he looked for Soo Ah.

"Soo Ah!" He greeted her.

"Hey," Soo Ah greeted him back.

"How are you feeling?" He asked.

"I'm okay. I'm still getting used to the fact that she's gone now," She replied.

"Everything will be fine," He comforted her.

"Oh, the burial is tomorrow. You'll come right?" She asked.

"Of course," He replied.

"Why don't the two of you go get something to eat and catch up on each other. I know a lot has happened these past few days," Soo Ah's mom told Min Jun and Soo Ah.

"Is it okay?" Soo Ah asked, "If we leave?"

"Yes, just go get something to eat," Soo Ah's mom said before gesturing for Soo Ah and Min Jun to go.

They listened to Soo Ah's mom and decided to go grab dinner. They decided on a restaurant and got a taxi to get there.

They arrived and got a table. They placed their order and are now waiting for it.

"How was the test?" Soo Ah asked him, "Tell me what happened. I need updates!"

"Okay," He sighs and began to tell her about what the test was like.

"So the order we perform in is completely up to ourselves. So when they asked who wanted to go first, I volunteered. I figured if I go now, I'll get it over with and will be less nervous," He explained, "I was like the opening act. It turned out really well as the judges loved it. Oh, and they actually filmed the whole thing. It was like we're actually recording for a TV Show!"

"Now I wish I were there. I've always wanted to see what it's like," Soo Ah commented.

"So after I finished my performance, the judges really liked it and gave me lots of compliments. Then, I left the stage and went back to the waiting room. I was able to watch everyone's performance and judge them. After everyone got to perform, we get to judge them. We voted on our top 3 performances excluding our own. While the first place is determined purely on how the judges' opinions on our performance, second and third are determined by both trainees and judges."

"So did you make it? What place did you come into? Who got first place? Who got second? Who got third?" Soo Ah showered Min Jun with questions.

"Okay, I'll continue," He said to stop the questions from coming, "My top three performance choice was Gyuhan's, Kanghyun's, and Kyung Mi's. We all grabbed lunch and when we got back, the result came out. Wanna guess the rankings?"

"Did you make it?" Soo Ah asked.

"Yup!" He nodded happily.

"Then firsts place goes to Min Jun, Second goes to Kyung Mi, and Third went to Kang Hyun?" Soo Ah said, "I honestly have no idea. I didn't even get to see their performances."

"Me first? really?"

"You're always first," She simply explained.

"Okay, so you were close. But Gyuhan actually came in first. I came in second and Kang Hyun came in third. So, so far, the lineup only has three boys," Min Jun told Soo Ah.

"Wow, that means you don't have to compete again. How lucky!" Soo Ah said, "Also, CONGRATULATION!"

"Thank you. Oh, and the next test will take place next week on Monday," He recalled.

"Great! That means I can attend then," Soo Ah exclaimed.

The sad atmosphere that was previously here is now gone.

"Here is your food!" The waiter said as he places their food down.

They continued to chat as they ate their food. After dinner, they returned to the funeral hall where their parents were. Then, they both headed home separately.
