Vane Vs Xander
As they both headed towards each other, they both released their respective skills as they clashed against each other in an intense showdown.
MOUNTAIN CRUSH
BUDDHA'S PALM
As Mark swung his saber, it was accompanied by the aura of a large Ox beast which merged together with the slash as they rushed towards Myriad Eyes who also stretched his palm forward as the Buddha figure behind also did which magnified the attack's power.
BOOM
"Hahaha, it's been a long time since I last had fun like this" Myriad Eyes laughed with a grin as he was pushed backwards.
"Hahaha, me too" Mark laughed as he was also pushed backwards, in this exchange, they were evenly matched.
PALM OF DIVINE JUDGEMENT
SACRED RING OF CHAOS
They immediately clashed again with skills that caused the stage to crack, as they serperated, they were still evenly matched but that didn't stop them from exchanging moves.
"They are treating it like a playground" Xander sheered.
After they exchanged the moves with none of them gaining the upper hand, the referee stepped in the stop the match and declared it a draw, thereafter continuing the other matches until they reached the end of the first half of the third round.
"The matches will be continued tomorrow" The referee said with an expressionless face.
"Well, I guess that's it for today, the real matches start tomorrow" Felix said with a grin as he headed to the inn.
"Where did that useless teacher go?" Felix asked himself, referring to James who he hadn't seen for the whole day, he had a million questions for him about what had happened, since he returned from Thunder Mountain, there were several things bothering him, he couldn't understand why he felt so uneasy.
The vision he saw, millions of bodies scattered around, the man crouched on the ground covered in blood, that void and the lights, the dark and light clones, the Sage Dragon and what it said about him being a 'hybrid'.
"I guess I have to wait for him to return" Felix said with a sigh as he sat cross-legged on him bed and entered meditation.
He meditation for several hours then paused and went downstairs to eat and when he came back he prepared an empty bath and filled it with beast blood of several kinds and soaked himself in it.
As he sat in it, he felt the blood sting his skin as the mana in it travelled through his body, nourishing his skin, vessels and bones as it courses through his body, he stayed in it for some minutes then came out because he could sense that all the medicinal properties had been drained.
"Hmm, let's see what you can do" Felix said with a grin as he opted to learn the offensive and defensive techniques which he had gained as a reward.

"Wow, these skills are OP" Felix exclaimed in shock, these skills coupled with his own abilities made him completely invincible within the city.
"But I can't use it in any of the battles" Felix said with a sigh, he had to only use one skill or else that would reveal his system, so he had decided only to use it when in absolute danger.
"Well, back to meditation" Felix said as he once again commenced his meditation.

The next day, the Martial Grounds were fully packed with people who were eagerly waiting to watch the tournament, today was the day the real fights begun, the previous day was just to eliminate cannon fodder.
"I welcome you all to the second day of the White Jade Seal Tournament, today we get to see some of the strongest of our younger generation go head to head to see who is the strongest, this year we have been visited by some special guests who are here to scout for talents among you so try your best, good luck" The city lord said with a calm voice as he stared at the remaining contestants.
"The fights have already been arranged and have been displayed on that board, the rules remain the same, no killing, let the tournament continue" The referee said coldly as he stressed on the 'no killing'.
"I'm fighting against him..." Felix said as he glanced at a figure in the crowd.
"Time to shine" Vane said with a grin as he climbed onto the stage, he was the first person.
"Hmm, looks like you are my opponent, I have always been waiting for another battle after my last defeat" Xander said with a grin as he also walked onto the stage.
"I will admit that you are strong so let's just skip all the talking and get straight to the action" Vane said as he stretched his body which made cracking sounds.
"My thoughts exactly" Xander replied coldly, he had always lost to Vane during every fight but today he had come to win.
BLAZING INFERNO
Xander directly used one of his strong skills because he knew better than to underestimate Vane the lunatic, large flame spears were condensed which rushed towards Vane.
WIND BLADE
Vane also used his skill, at first you would think it was a normal skill so it wouldn't have much power but Xander knew better, he had tasted defeat with this skill before and the reason was that, Vane had trained in using it so much that it's power had long since exceeded it's rank.
FLAME WALL
Seeing this, Xander quickly condensed a large flame wall just in case, as the wind blade clashed with the flame spears, the wind blade destroyed the spears which caused the power to halve but it still continued it's advance forward where it also clashed with the flame wall before it was extinguished together with the flame wall, from the first exchange, the one with the upper hand had already been determined.
"You're still weak" Vane said with a frown, he was a battle fanatic and was hoping for a tough match but now he was disappointed.
"He is still stronger, how?" Xander asked himself with shock and anger, he had trained tirelessly but still this was the result.
"I guess you still don't have the qualifications to be my opponent, maybe he will" Vane said as he glanced at Shadow Walker who was also observing the battle.
"He chose that idiot over me, no!" Xander said with anger as he saw Vane lose interest in him, he couldn't understand why Vane would consider that Shadow Walker stronger than him.
"I'll show you" Xander said with rage as his hair turned deep red.
BOOM
A terrifying energy suddenly exploded from Xander as the temperature of the atmosphere suddenly shot up.
"Hmm, maybe you aren't so bad after all" Vane said with a grin as he saw Xander use his bloodline power.

Above them, in the skies some figures were watching the battle with interest.
"Hmm, seems like he has gotten stronger" Blake said as he observed his grandson, Xander.
"He is still as domineering as ever" A fierce Green robed man said as he observed Vane.
"That, Griffin is true" A silver haired woman replied with a smile.
"Justin is stronger than him though" She added with a grin.
"We will see about that" Griffin replied with a grin.

RAIN OF FIRE
A large red cloud suddenly appeared above Vane as it started raining spears, seeing the approaching spears, Vane's expression turned into a crazed look.
"Hahahaha, now this is what I call strength" Vane grinned as his hair suddenly turned white and wings sprung from his back.
SWORD OF TRUTH
In his hands, a large sword was condensed as he rose into the sky towards the rain of fire with a crazy look.
"This battle is so enlightening" An esper who sat next to Felix said and even he had to admit that this battle was truly fierce, so far this was the most engaging battle.
"Hahahaha" Vane laughed as he swung his sword which obliterated all in it's path including the cloud.
"Is that all you've got" Vane smirked after he had finished obliterating the cloud.
"This is the last move, if you manage to survive this then I shall surrender" Xander said as he closed his eyes.
"Bring it on" Vane grinned as he clenched the sword lightly.

"Is he about to use that skill?" Blake said with surprise as he observed Xander's actions.
"Hmm it seems your grandson has been pushed into a corner" Griffin said with a smile.
"I wouldn't quite say that" Blake said with a mysterious smile.

"What!" Vane said with alarm, he sensed that Xander's aura had suddenly become stronger out of the blue.
Behind Xander a figure was formed from his aura, it took the shape of a phoenix as the surrounding temperature suddenly plunged once more as the stage stared to heat up.
"Woah, I can feel the heat from here" An esper said with shock, one had to know that the stage was made with a special mechanism that prevented the attack's and shockwaves from reaching the crowd of spectators.
PHOENIX BREATH
An extremely hot wave of flames that melted the stage flew to Vane who instead of having a look of fear, instead had a look of excitement.
"Yes, this is what I'm looking for" Vane said as he turned into a streak of light that flew towards the flames, he raised his sword into the sky and infused his mana into it which caused it to light up even more as he waved it towards the flames.
BOOM
The resulting shockwave from their fight cracked the stage and broke through the protective barrier and headed towards the crowd but before it could reach them, the Referee suddenly appeared and formed a shield that protected them.
"Who won" As the dust cleared, two figures could be seen standing motionless just a few feet from each other, both of their dresses were torn in different places and they were bloodied.
"None of them..." An esper was saying when one of them fell on his knees.
"That's Xander" An esper said as he recognized the figure that fell.

"Hmm, I guess he still can't defeat him, but that last skill" Blake said with a glint in his eye.
"No worries, look how exhausted Vane is" Griffin said to console him but the pride hidden within his voice was unconcealable.

"After everything, I still lost, I guess I'm just not good enough" Xander said with a sad smile.
"Huh, at last you have exceeded my expectations" Vane smiled as he walked over to him.
"What are you talking about!" Xander asked with confusion.
"Everything I did was to push you to your limit, I knew you had potential, and I wanted you to squeeze out all of it and it worked, now look where you are" Vane said with a smile.
"So it was all a plan?.." Xander said with shock as he processed it, so all the disdain and mockery was just to help him unleash his best.
"Finally, I recognize your strength" Vane said with a smile as he extended his hand.
"Thank you..." Xander replied as he grabbed Vane's hand.
"Sleep tight" Vane said with a grin.
"What.." Xander suddenly felt a punch connect with his jaw, he was so exhausted that he fell unconscious.
"The winner is Vane Griffin" The referee announced with a shake of his head.
"Please come with us for treatment" A healer said to Vane after his colleagues had sent Xander away.
"I don't need treatment" Vane replied as he walked away.
"What a strange kid" The referee said to himself after seeing Vane's actions.

"Still as eccentric as always huh" Frost said to Griffin.
"I guess so" Griffin answered with a laugh.
"Who do you think will win" Alexander asked with a smile.
"That idiot Damien obviously" Shadow answered with mockery.
"I think that Shadow Walker may win" The Emperor said with a mysterious smile, when the others heard this, they started paying attention to Shadow Walker because they knew that the Emperor's words shouldn't be taken lightly.
