Chapter Seven

The morning of the seventh day of the prayer in the temple. The new prince was to be named. A brown-weaved fabric had been plopped on the floor which had covered virtually all the floors of the temple, but some vacua were left so people could pass through. A small tent was also positioned after the altar. And some boxes were arranged on one another, they were filled with some sacrilegious items which were to be kept away from the public sight. Though every individual had been ordered to vacate the temple and moved to the minor one especially the northerners who did pray all day in the temple. The temple maids organized all crooks and nooks of the temple. The Queen had laid helplessly on the floor beside the new prince. The priestess was beside them praying and was about to conclude the prayer as the seventh day had reached. The name of the new prince had been revealed to the priestess and she had scripted it on a wooden-flat surface. Though the masses did procure their prophecy from the shamans who did receive money before they seek the gods for any prophecy, the priestess did focus his prophecy on the high class of the society due to the enormous population of the kingdom but did attend to the less privilege occasionally. According to the traditional belief, if the prophecy of confinement was conveyed to a newborn baby, it implies the birth of the child was monstrous.

A lot had been transpiring through the psyche of the first Queen, had it been the priestess was susceptible, she would have found a way that she would manipulate her to divulge an unwanted prophecy about the of the new prince which could lead to him being murdered sacrilegiously. Though she thought of coercing the priestess, she remembered that the priestess had her autonomy and no form of coarse is welcomed on any decision she wanted to make. The named of the newborn prince which was revealed to the priestess had been written on a wooden flat surface covered with a white fabric. When the priestess concluded the prayer she woke the Queen up.

It was about time the child should be named and distinct ceremonial activities would be conducted before the naming. Every individual who was expected to be present had begun arriving at the temple. Some of the ministers had entered and everyone had begun sitting down. Some ministers who had arrived were under the chambers in the palace jurisdiction discussing. The rulers of the regions and the vassal states presided by Woyoe were also in the temple. Everyone was seated with their two legs under their bum. The lingering ministers outside began to enter the temple when the sleigh bell rang. The king was in his room being dressed by his maids including the Queen. A limited vacua behind the main arranged ones was allotted to the few Woyoe inhabitants who would be enabled to enter. Every expected leg was present in the temple. The king and the first Queen walked together with the princes and princess were welcomed into the temple, before they entered all the seated individuals stood on their feet and their head bow in honour of his majesty and her Majesty. The Queen wasn't delighted, she just has to attend to fulfil the righteousness as the senior and the eldest Queen. She had been vilifying the child as a dwarf since the day he was born. When everyone settled, the temple sacred singers were cheered onto the scene. The song they sang was reserved and dull which made some presentee to be dozing.

After several hours of distinct activities. The rites had been done as the second Queen napping and seemed tired after being woke up by the priestess seated on a weaved fabric on the altar. The wooden surface which the name of the newborn prince was written was hung on the top flat wall and the characters were shrouded. When it was time for the name of the new prince to be divulged, everyone was curious and inquisitive as some were seen guessing to one another on what the name might be, though they all knew that it was going to be a name obtained through revelation by the priestess and in most cases, the names did correspond with the manner in which the child was born or what might have emerged before or when the child was given birth to. Everyone knew where names were being hung written on a plank of wood before it would be divulged, all the presentee's eyes were at the direction.

When the priestess strutted and brought down the fabric which was used to shroud the wood where the name was written. They all saw the name, JEAN. Everyone reaction was great. Some were seen jiggling their head up and down in approval of the great name. The king of Woyoe pronounce the name and have the reminisce of a great legendary gladiator who assumed a similar name. He was one of the greatest gladiators to have ever graced the earth. He had fought many memorable and extraordinary battles, the most popular ones were the battle of yeye thrice, the battle of Yeun thrice, the battle of Yeho twice and among many others. This gladiator called Jean fought till his old age until a particular day he fought, gained a victory, and committed suicide on the battering, his last fought was with Jango whom he defeated despite all odds against him due to old age. He killed himself on the battering because the popular belief was that true warriors were those who died on the battlefield. The day he slaughtered himself, the world experience the eclipse of the sun. He was buried on the battlering where he killed himself and the battlering had become a tourist ring till present. When Gladiator Jean was still fighting, the king of Woyoe was still a young boy who never had the privilege to watch him fight but heard the name multiple times.

The priestess never stopped there as she was expected to give several revelations about the child. The first Queen who was seated beside the king face crowded up, everyone who was present was smiling but she was the only one whose face seemed sulk. Forthwith the priestess went further to disclose the identity of the new prince being a dwarf, everyone's reaction shifted including the king who didn't take the word of the first Queen when she told him on the day the prince was put to bed. But the king didn't seem worried. The suspense was still high due to what everyone heard. They were expecting the priestess to reiterate something about the fate of the child. As some were seen discussing that the child must have come to the world with a nefarious fate because he had been in the temple since the day he was born. The Priestess moved towards the inner part of the altar and came out with a wrapped long object. And moved towards the direction of the second Queen who was seated.

"This represents the new prince", said the priestess, sloping her hand with the object towards the Queen who was seated at the top of the altar.

Everyone was curious as to what the object might be. Some even expected the object to be unwrapped right at the moment but reverse was the case as the Queen dropped it beside the new prince forthwith she was given. The first Queen was so curious and seemed envious because nothing was given to her children when they were given birth to. The king chuckled and was already longing for his usual alcohol at the position where he was seated to celebrate the beautiful day. The Yongo and Onna psyche had been replenished with diverse thoughts. The Queen whose face was fumed wanted to know what the wrapped object was.

After the conclusion of all the necessary rites. Everyone was ordered to have a five minutes silent stand in the honour of the new prince. After that, the end of the ceremony was marked. Everyone was seen hugging one another. The first Queen stood forthwith and headed towards the king's room. Rage had already crowned his psyche. The King and the priestess had a petty talk before he left to attend to his fellow kings who were present.
