Page XVIII - Club Members

"Peace. That's something that I have for the past few hours." Theodore was enjoying the serene and silent atmosphere he's been in. "Joining the music club wasn't a mistake." The breeze of the cold wind entering the clubroom, the subtle noises of the birds, the howling winds and the rustle of the leaves as the janitor from outside cleans them up. And finally, the icing on the cake, the classical music playing on the vinyl player. "It's like I'm being taken back in the 90s. Just the atmosphere. Definitely not the state of that time. That was horrible." He thought to himself.

The door to the clubroom creaked and opened up. Revealing Victoria Sinclair behind it. And a bunch of other women behind her.

"Hmm?"

It's a Monday afternoon, a day of horror for some students. Everyone was tired either from staying up late or studying the whole day in Sunday. Either way, it's a day of doom indeed.

But to Victoria it was nothing but a normal day. Her posture was straight, books in her hand while a maid carried her bag to the class. Each step she took managed to capture the attention of people around her. Everyone was impressed, amazed at how could someone be so dignified.

Her being in that area made everyone her servants and her as the royalty. She was everyone's princess.

Beauty, money and men? She had it all.

Despite the fear of other people going even a meter near her, several women went near her to talk to her.

"My, good morning Calista." Victoria greeted the woman that approached her.

"Good morning Victoria! Jeez... the day just started and you already made some first years fall in love with you." The energetic and cheerful woman, Calista Faye, member of the basketball club and the music club. She's a first year in the Nerivilya academy and she already made quite a name for herself.

"Calista, it's like everyday that you say that." Erina Lefel, she was a first year often compared to Victoria. The two of them have quite a lot of similarities. Both of them extremely dignified and beautiful. No one could argue about that. But Erina doesn't feel any rivalry or hate against Victoria. Since she simply looks up at her. Her perfection is what made Erina extremely enamored by Victoria. She's also Calista's classmate since both of them are first years.

"Sorry, sorry! So, where are we going?"

Victoria let out a giggle then answered, "To the music room."

"Aren't we going there every afternoon?"

"Yes, well I forgot something there. So I want to get it before the bell rings."

"We still have an hour left until the bell rings. Let's just stay there for a while?" Erina suggested.

"Sure, it's fine. We don't have anything to do anyway and you're both members of the club too. Anyway, uhm... miss, you can just leave me be with my friends. I'll bring that bag to the clubroom with me."

The two of them had their faces lit up with what Victoria just said. The maid saw this and let out a sigh. "As you wish milady." She then gave Victoria the bag.

The three of them went up the school building and as they were nearing the destination, they heard the subtle classical music. The room was sound proof but when they were in front of it, they could hear it.

"Have you forgotten to turn off your music Victoria?" Calista asked her.

"No, even if I did, a maid cleans this place up every time I'm in class so I'm sure they turn it off even if I did miss something." Victoria then slowly opened the door.

The open window breezed through the entire clubroom and the aroma of the tea inside lingered. The classical music playing on the vinyl grew louder as everyone was silent as they were all captivated by the sight.

Theodore was sitting there with the book on his hand.

No one knew why but the aura that Theodore was showing was powerful. For his first impression on the two, it was quite amazing.

Theodore looked up and saw the three of them by the door. "Hmm?"

Victoria was the first to break the ice, "Oh- I'm sorry. I forgot that you were a full fledged member by now." Victoria went in the clubroom and the two of them followed. "Everyone, this is our new club member, Theodore Payne. Theodore, this is the other club members, Calista Faye and Erina Lefel."

"H... Hello." The both of them greeted Theodore with a bow.

"Mhm. Sorry, I didn't know you had company. I'll be going now." Theodore stood up and was about to leave but Victoria stopped him.

"Wait, you're a part of this club. So you still have to do club activities. That's a part of the deal?" Victoria just didn't want him to exploit her by just using the clubroom as his place so she added some terms before she could let Theodore do what he wants.

"I see. Alright then." Theodore sat down from where he stood and began to read the book in his hand again.

The two of them were just confused on how to act. So Calista and Erina just sat down on the couch. Victoria opened up the cupboard and brought out a tea set for everyone.

"I helped myself with the tea. I hope you don't mind." Theodore stated.

"No, it's fine. Do you want another one?" Victoria offered.

"Sure."

Victoria went ahead and made the tea for everyone. It's not even completely finished and the addicting fragrance of the tea was enveloping the whole room. "Calista?"

She looked over and saw that she couldn't hold everything by herself. "Ah yeah!" Calista rushed over to her and grabbed the cups and gave it to everyone.

Victoria slowly poured the tea on everyone's cup. After all that, she sat down and began to discuss things with everyone. Everyone just sat there until the bell rang. The silence of the atmosphere was something that Theodore appreciated.

But Calista and Erina just felt the awkward tension in the air. They were only thinking one thing at the same time... "Is she her boyfriend?"
