As I said before, I had more work to do back at the building. It was almost evening when I headed back to the ASC office.
Opening the door, the room was more empty than this morning, there were fewer people at their stations, some went back to their dorms while others stayed to finish up their work.
"Boss! You're here in time, there were more files given to us this evening, I think one of them was from the director herself." Liam said, walking beside me towards my desk.
'From Kathryn? It must be something important to contact me, she wouldn't just send something random to the ASC…' I thought to myself, pondering.
"Kyu!" Aria snapped me out of my thoughts as we arrived at my office.
"Liam, are there any other files that you need me to look at or is all of it already here?" I asked, looking at the files as I sat down.
"All of them are here sir, But I will inform you if there will be more." He said.
"Alright then, you can leave now, I'll call for you if I need anything." I waved my hand, dismissing him, he walked out, closing the door silently behind him.
I looked through the piles of paper and finally found Kathryn's paper that was in the middle of all of these files, I read through the paper.
"What?!" I shouted as I looked at what Kathryn wanted me to do.
'What is it papa?' Aria sounded concerned.
'Kathryn wants me to host an event as the Chairman of ASC… she said this event will be the first one that all the big three (a term used for the Disciplinary Committee, Student Council, and the Administration Committee) will be together.' I replied.
'It sounds important.' Aria commented.
'Well it is, but didn't I tell her I didn't want to be exposed yet?' I sighed.
'You're going to expose yourself in the future anyways.' Aria said.
'But-'
'No buts papa! Just do it, early you do it the better people will accept it later on.' Aria fired back.
'Ugh fine, I'll do it.' I sighed, picking up my pen and signing the paper.
After signing that I decided to give the file back to Kathryn myself so I can talk to her more about this event.
I spent the rest of my evening looking through piles of paper and by the time I was finished it was already Dusk, the sun was setting, leaving the sky a mix of blue and orange.
"Sigh" I leaned back in my chair, taking deep breaths.
*Grawl* My stomach growled, making Aria jump onto my shoulder.
"I guess I need to eat dinner then I should go back to my dorm and sleep early." I sighed.
'Oooo bacon!' Aria leaped up quickly.
"Alright then." I quickly stood up, taking Kathryn's file with me and tucking it into my coat pocket.
Walking out of the building, I headed towards the cafeteria.
"The air today is so nice." I said, as I looked up at the sky.
My mind was really relaxed, it has been a while since I've felt this relaxed, this memory will be imprinted in my mind.
'Papa that smells nice!' Aria said, smelling the air.
"Smells like food." I said, walking faster towards the cafeteria.
As I opened the door to the cafeteria the smell of food hit my face, "Wow" I said excitedly, walking in.
I stood in line and waited for my food to be passed out onto my plate, it didn't take long when the food arrived onto my plate since I came here later and most of the people were already settled down next to their friends.
Finding an empty seat, I sat down and began to eat, feeding Aria her bacon as I ate.
"Can I sit here?" I looked up and saw a girl standing there with a tray in her hands.
"Uh, sure." I scooted to the side making space for her to sit down.
"Thank you." She said shyly.
"What's your name?" I asked, trying to start a conversation.
"Ah, my name is Emma." She answered.
"Nice to meet you, my name is August and this is Aria." I said, pointing to Aria who was still eating her bacon.
"She's so cute, can I touch her?" Emma asked.
"Sure." I said, nodding.
Emma leaned closer to pet her, Aria replied with purs as if she was a cat.
"She's so soft!" Emma exclaimed as she patted her head.
As we began to talk more I felt as if Emma was trying to sit closer every once in a while. It got to the point where she was in my personal space, I didn't want to be rude or make her embarrassed so I just sat there, trying to act like nothing was happening.
"Aug!" Kayla's voice came from behind me, making Emma jump in surprise.
"Kayla, when did you get here?" I asked, glancing at Emma as she moved further from me.
"Who's this girl sitting next to you?" Kayla asked, raising her brow.
"Ah, her name is Emma." I said.
"I- I have to go now, it's nice meeting you August." Emma quickly grabbed her tray and left.
"Look at the poor girl, she looked so scared." I joked, looking at Emma scurrying off.
"Well I thought I'd help since she was getting so close to you." Kayla pouted as she sat down next to me.
"I can feel that someone is jealous~" I smirked.
"Hey! I just thought she was getting too close to you." She tried to defend herself.
"Well thank you because she was indeed getting too close to me, I didn't want to be rude or embarrass her so I said nothing." I chuckled.
"Mhm, want to go on a walk?" She asked.
"Sure." I nodded.
