Chapter:5

"I think that in any family -- black, white, Chinese, Spanish, whatever -- family is family. You know that there's dysfunction, and that there's this cousin who doesn't like this auntie. But, at the end of the day, like I say, love brings everybody together."

Kiara's Point of View:

It's 6:45 in the morning and it's been 2 weeks since we left the back.

We are at the border of Florida living in the mini van I inherited from our parents.

I could've gotten to an hotel but I don't wanna take the risk of them tracking us down.

"Kiara", Joy calls out in the back seat after yawning.

"Did you sleep tonight or did you stay up again?" She questions with a "Stern" look.

But seeing that on her attempt after just waking up up made me wanna pinch her cheeks.

So I kindof did just that.

Resulting in making her slap a pillow and cover at my face.

"Stop changing the subject did you stay up again, we left that place so why are you still nervous?"

She whispered yelled after hearing Lovely snore.

This started after she had to pee and caught me still up, so she made it her mission to make sure I get my sleep.

I shrug. "I just don't want you guys to get hurt or someone coming to take us back."

"I promise tonight I will sleep with you girls ok?"

She didn't looked convinced but took my word for it.

Just then Lovely woke up and asked, "What

are you guys talking about, are you guys trying to eat food without me??!"

She sprang up from the backseat looking angry like we stole her favorite candy.

She's always been this little glutton monster, just eating anything as long as it suits her tastesbugs.

I raise an eyebrow, "I don't think we will be able to eat without you even if we try, your able to smell food even in your sleep."

She smirks and says, "Yah that's true none of you

love food like me."

Joy then laughs and says, "If only you love your homework as much as you love food."

I chuckle a little bit, Lovely pouts," First off homeowrk is not even eatable,"

I cut her off,"You mean edible."

She looks at me rolling her eyes, "Yah that, but what were you guys talking about earlier?"

I look at her, "we were talking about what to eat this morning for breakfast, what do you girls wanna eat?"

They both scream "WAFFLEHOUSE!!"

I laugh and say, "let's go to wafflehouse then."

I started up the car and drove to the nearest wafflehouse.

Kiara's Point of View: After walking into waffle house the girls went to the bathroom while I ordered their food.

While I was scrolling through pintrest after ordering,  a little girl.

She had dirty clothes, dark brown culry hair, and greyish blue eyes.

Looking at her I saw another version of the girls and how they might have turned out if I had suddenly died.

I took another look at her and saw her being yelled at by the manager while looking at the food hungrily.

I can tell she's a werewolf by the way her fangs are pouncing out.

And by the looks of it she might be 12, since she just got her wolf it would be harder to control around humans.

Before I got up I saw the girls coming towards me, before they can say anything I tell the girls.

"You see that girl over there?"

I pointed at the girl seeing them nod head yes.

"I want you to invite her over for some breakfast ok?"

Smiling at me Joy takes Lovely by the hand and drags her over to the front of the resturant to invite her over.

Joy's Point of View:

After listening to my big sister I drag Lovely to the front of the resteraunt so we can invite the girl over. When I look at her I get really excited she smells like a werewolf so I don't have to worry about her being suprised about our werewolf talk.

I walk over to her ignoring the manager I ask her, "Do you want something to eat?"

She looks at us suspiciously and unconvinced until Lovely came from behind me still holding my hand.

"You see the prettiest lady in here, with the brown hair, caramel skin, and the prettiest blue eyes is my big sister. Come on we want to eat with you!"

Without waiting for the girl's response Lovely puts

her in between us and we grab her hand.

Ignoring all the stares and looking at her I asked,

"What's your name?"

She looks at us releasing her guarded expression and whispered, "Amera."

"Well Amera foods on me so order as much as you want!"

My big sister says after we approach our table.

Amera's Point of View:

My big sister told me to not wonder off from her when she was looking for food.

But I was just to hungry and for some reason more attracted to the wafflehouse then usuall.

"Maybe we might get some food from here?"

My wolf Comet suggests.

I've had Comet for 7 months and it's kind of hard to control her around humans especially when I'm feeling strong emotions.

I'm staring at the food until I see the manager looking at me sneering.

"If you can't pay then go away this place is no use for poor people who can't even buy clothes."

I look down at my clothes and start feeling ashamed, I look like I came from a dumpster not to metion I smell.

I attracted so many customers dislike and stares because of my look, I became quiet and put my head down so no onecan see my tears.

When I look up I see twin girls smiling at me.

One has 2 blue eyes, caramel skin, and curly hair, while the other has one blue and brown eye, caramel skin, and curly hair.

I become envious of how they look, they look so happy and carefree.

I can smell that they are werewolves.

But what surprised me most is when the one with 2 blue eyes came up to me and invited me to eat.

I've always been weary of people around me besides my sister.

I was going to refuse but the one with one blue and brown eye came up to me and dragged me over to her table.

Where I saw a very beautiful girl, she looks 16-17 but she had a warm smile on her face that wasn't faked and I got this cool vibe from her.

I think she and my sister will be best friends.

Kiara's Point of View:

After the girls brought her to the table I started ordering the same food for her that I got the girls.

"So, what are you doing around here?"

I asked her halfway through the meal wiping pancake syrup off of Lovely's face.

" Me and my sister are just looking around and traveling."

She says curtly but politely.

"How old is your sister?"

She gives me a look, "my sister is 17 years old."

I smile." I'm 17 years old too.

My name is Kiara Storm and the girl w/ blue eyes on your right side is called Joy, while the girl on your left with one blue and brown eye is called Lovely they are both 10 years old. How old are you?"

She responds, "I'm 12 years old."

Joy sits up almost spilling her orange juice.

After receiving a glare from me she calms down and whispers,"you have a wolf? I've always wanted to see one! Is she pretty?! What's her name?!"

Amera smiles at her. "Her name is Comet and I've only had her for 7 months."

Joy and Lovely exclaims. "Cool!"

Amera starts loosing up and I smile seeing the girls engage with someone closer to their age.

After a while I see that she only ate half of her food.

I ask her, "Why aren't you eating all your food?"

I'm saving some for my sister so she doesn't get too hungry."

I tell her, " that's very responsible but I want you to eat all your food I'll order the same food I ate for

your sister. I promise."

To prove myself I call the waiter telling her to order another order of my breakfast and it's for To-Go.

I look back at Amera to see her smiling and trying to suppress her happiness.

She continues eating full heartedly while talking to the girls and I start wondering, what is her sister like?

Amera Point Of View:

I've felt more happiness than I've felt in my whole life!

This little family is awesome the twins are sweet and adorable making me wanna be their big sister. And their eldest sister makes me wanna be her little sister also.

Speaking of sisters my big sister must be worried sick about me.

I leave the bathroom and explain to the girls.

"Thank you for this, for everything really but I have to go to my sister she must be worried sick!"

Kiara grabs her stuff and pays the check saying,

"Imma come with you, you don't know if you might get hurt let me bring the girls to walk you to your sister."

I smile and get ready with the girls to leave the

restaurant. After leaving we start walking around all food places because she will most likely be there.

After 2 long hours just as I'm bout to give up hope I see my sister coming to me yelling, " AMERA JACOBS!! WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOUR ASS BEEN! IVE BEEN SERCHING FOR YOU LIKE CRAZY!!!"

Then she looks at Kiara and screams pulling me to her. "I DON'T KNOW WHAT SICK GAME YOU GONNA PLAY BUT DON'T DRAG MY SISTER IN THIS B****! BECAUSE IF YOU DARE HURT HER IMMA F*** YOU UP!!!"

Uh-oh this is not good.

"You damn right it is I'm still being cursed at by chocolate.I gotta go you deal with the human side and I deal with the wolf side."

Comet says leaving me with silence. I look at Kiara and my sister and I really hope for the best.

Coco's Point Of View:

I go to the nearest restaurant looking for food after telling my little sister to wait for me outside.

Not only was I rejected and couldn't get a job they banned me too. Just for asking for food and a job.

With stress leaking in my brain my Wolf Chocolate suggested, "We should just start learning to pick pocket or something because we have to feed Comet and Amera."

Just as I was really thinking about doing it I turn to see my sister GONE! And I mean GONE DISAPPEARED!

I started to panic and then thought of where she would be...

A restaurant I start looking through all restaurants and calling her name.

3 HOURS LATER AND STILL NO SIGN OF HER! I'M PISSED MY WOLF IS PISSED AND IM HUNGRY!

SO THAT D*** SURE AINT A GOOD COMBINATION!

Just as I'm about to start thinking the worst I see her laughing and talking to these twins girls.

Both have caramel skin and curly hair.

But the one on the right has 2 blue eyes while the one on the left has one blue and brown eye.

It honestly looks cute on them but when I look up I see a girl with similar features to them.

She has caramel skin, curly hair and blue eyes.

She looks about my age 16-17.

But the thing that catches my eye is how she's looking at my sister REPEATEDLY.

I thought she was trying to steal my sister or something so walking up to them after yelling at my sister I start yell at the girl too.

Letting her know that if she wants to try some stupid s*** she can try but I'm gonna whop some a**.

Kiara's Point Of View:

After seeing Amera sister calling her I have to say.

Even with the dirty clothes she's wearing she is a beautiful girl.

But when she opened her mouth and started cursing her sister it shocked me.

But I didn't say anything because personally if the girls pulled off some **** like that I'd probably be in a pissed mood too.

But after that she started yelling at me and threatening me like I want to steal the girl or something.

Honestly I'm fond of Amera but I would never steal her from her sister. I look at her and respond calmly.

" Me and my little sisters were eating at Waffle House.

My girls went to the bathroom I saw Amera looking at the food hungrily.

So I told my girls to bring Amera to our table so she can eat.

I would never steal your sister from you I have 2 sisters myself and I can't imagine being separated from them unwillingly.

If you don't believe me you can ask your sister, she's old enough to answer to herself."I concluded,

Siting on the closest bench and tying Joy's shoes.

She didn't believe me but asked Amera.

"Did she force you to do anything? Did she have an alternate motive?"

Amera looks at me and smiles. " She's extremely sweet listening to me and respecting me and my wishes. Here there is breakfast for you she paid for it."

Her sister looks at me for a minute, "thank you for feeding my sister and for the breakfast."

She then gave me back the food and states firmly.

"But me and my sister don't accept free charity. Thank you and good day."

She tried to grab Amera but Amera dodges her looking angry.

"She's being nice just because she can.

She could have only ordered food for me and went back to her table leaving me alone.

She didn't have to bring her sisters over to me.

She didn't have to engage conversation with me.

She didn't have to let her sisters sit with me.

And most importantly SHE DIDNT HAVE TO FEED ME!"

Her sister looked hurt so I gave Amera my phone and told her, "Go sit on the bench with my girls and play games with them and their iPhone.

Imma talk to your sister."

I walked up to her sister.

" I didn't have to do all this but I wanted to...

not to pry or be rude but I see your situation and I want you to stay with the girls and me..."

She cut me off and scoffed, "your right it isn't any of your business so why are you meddling?"

I explain, " I see myself and my girls in your sister.

I know your hostility to us is due to the way we dress but In honesty we are on the run from our ex pack. We live in my parents car, we had a hard life growing up I was physically abused."

I show her my scars.

"And my girls were emotionally and mentally abused so I couldn't stay their with the girls in pain like that.

I know what it is like being this way.

I've spent my whole life doing this alone, and I can tell you have too for a while now.

You don't have to do it alone. Let's do it together."

When I look into her face I see that tough look on her eye vanishing and I see raw emotions like sadness and hope. "

But what about the room?

I can tell your a werewolf but not a shifter though.

I can also tell the girls are werewolves like my sister.

And also what about clothes I don't wanna use your money for everything I wanna make my own, so how can we live like this forever?"

I smile at her, "I have lots of money from my parents inheritance when they passed away when I was young. So we can use the money for food, clothing, and (etc.) until we get a job.

Also we are not staying In Florida, tonight we are leaving to another state.

I don't know which it in time I think we will find out."

I see her tough shell vanish and I see a tear escape out her eye.

She then smiles, " your going to be my first girlfriend is that okay?"

"Well it's a first for me too.

But I have a feeling we'll get along JUUSSTT FINE!"

We Start laughing and then she shakes my hand.

"My Name is Coco Jacobs!"

I shake her hand. "I'm Kiara Storm!"

I hand her back her food.

"Also here is your food. You should eat ya know."

She cries a little, " thank you!"

I pat her shoulder, "no problem!"

She smiles and starts eating while we walk back to the mini van.

I think I just found a perfect friendship that's gonna last a LONGGG time.

Coco's Point Of View:

After that we went to her van and when we got inside I gotta say, it is one sweet ride and it's very spacious in the back for the girls.

I look at Kiara and wonder what happened to her that made her so responsible? Making her so strong willed?

"I don't know but maybe ask later we have a long day ahead of us." Chocolate tells me.

Kiara passed me some day clothes and told me to put them on.

After putting them on I felt more comfortable. Before I take a nap I hear Joy asking. (Amera introduced them to me),

"Sis are they like our new sisters now?"

Kiara smiles, "Yah they are."

Fall asleep with a smile in my face.

Lovely's Point Of View:

"But sis they are not related to us so how are we related?"

I ask my big sister confused after buckling ourselves up in the back seat. She then turns to us.

Water doesn't have to be thicker than blood to be family."

Family comes in different forms remember that girls." She then hands us our phones and gives Amera hers.

I smile and hold both Amera and Joy's hands.

"Sisters?" I Question.

" Sisters" they say together.

And I smile the whole ride.
