"B-but we're too young for being in a relationship." I pulled back my hand from his hold. I saw how the pain draws into his eyes. I looked away as I felt my heart overcrowded. I can't stand seeing him in pain.

"A-are you trying to say we really have to break-up?" He said huskily.

"Yeah," I swallowed hard.

Leaving someone behind is so hard. Especially if you can feel that that person loves you more than you do.

The next morning after we broke up, it immediately spread in our school like a wildfire. It spread with their assumptions that Atticus must be the one who decided for us to break up. They say that he probably woke up in a nightmare which is me. Molly and her squad, on the other hand, didn't mess with me anymore. Probably because they also heard that Atticus and I already broke up.

And it makes me wonder... Do I feel happy now that Molly's not messing up with me anymore? Or it was hard for me to be happy because I know I left someone?

I now started to gain friends here. I'm not sure if they can be considered as the 'true one' though. You can only call someone a 'true friend' when life was easy and he was there for you likewise when it turns out tough.

"Sienna," Daisy run into me and hugged me tightly. "Have you finished my homework?"

My lips parted. I nodded and took it out of my bag. She asked me to do her homework because her tummy is aching and she's not sure if she can answer it.

Daisy used to be mean to me before but weeks after we broke up she

"Thank you!" Then she went back to her seat.

I sighed and stretched my lips for a small smile. I take my seat and wait for our first teacher in the morning.

I look in her direction and saw her friends looking at her homework. They're talking now but since I'm a bit far from them, I can't hear their talks. I sighed and bring my gaze back in front.

When I got home my phone vibrated for a reminder note saying it's Daisy's birthday tomorrow. My mouth formed into an 'o'. I almost forgot it's her birthday tomorrow. Thank goodness and I write a reminder on my phone for the day before her day.

"Sienna," I was busy washing dishes after we had our dinner when Nathan suddenly approached me and gave me a warm and tight hug. "Thank you for cooking dinner."

I nodded. I kissed the top of his head. I don't know but I noticed something strange about him these past few days. He's kinder than usual. I watched his back disappearing in the kitchen.

I lied in my bed and covered my mouth, yawning. I was about to close my eyes when I suddenly remembered that I have to plan something for Daisy's birthday. I massaged my eyes trying to get rid of my sleepiness. I reached my phone and searched for Cia's number in my contacts.

Cia was the second friend I made after the breakup. She's also mean to me before but not anymore after the breakup news spread. She always asked me to buy food for her at school. It's fine for me, though. It's her money she used.

To Cia:

Hi, Cia. You still up? It's Daisy's birthday tomorrow.

"Sienna, you still up?" Olivia suddenly asked from the upper deck with a sleepy voice.

"Yeah, I am. Something's wrong?"

"No. You should sleep now too. It's already late."

My phone vibrated for Cia's reply.

From Cia:

Do you have a plan or something?

I roamed my eyes around and try to think of a plan. I smiled when I finally got an idea.

To Cia:

How about let's surprise her tomorrow?

From Cia:

Surprise? I don't have a problem with that. Just shoulder the expenses.

I sighed and nodded. I stepped out of my bed. I walked into my study table and open the third drawer. I have a small amount of money here. I used to save at least one dollar every day.

Can this money be enough?

Whatever it is. I'll spend this. I'm sure it'll make Daisy happy anyway.

"Happy birthday to you," I sang happily in front of Daisy, holding a cupcake with a candle on it.

It's only me who's here to surprise her. Cia got busy with her cheer dance. My lips parted when Daisy jerk the cupcake away causing it to fell on the ground.

"I-I'm sorry. Didn't you like it?" I tried to pick it but she held my hand quickly.

"Don't pick that one. You shouldn't have bought that one." She said coldly.

"I'm so sorry if you didn't like it. That's what I can only afford." I looked down.

"Whatever! I hate surprises. I have trauma with that." She then started to walk away.

I was left in the cafeteria with my cupcake. I can feel the eyes of every student with me but I didn't care about it. I felt bad for not knowing she has a trauma. The janitor went to me and asked if I was alright. I just nodded and thanked him for cleaning the mess.

Unfortunately, when I rose my gaze somewhere, I caught Atticus' gaze. I blinked as my heart started to beat faster. He's at a table with his male friends and there are also females. My eyes drifted to them. They all looked pretty rich. Even with just one glance at them, you can immediately tell that they're wealthy. I wonder which of them is Atticus' new girlfriend.

"U-uh, Daisy, I'm so sorry for what happened earlier." I went to her seat after I got back in our class.

"It's okay." She said sans looking away from her phone.

"I heard you're throwing a party tonight... and that all your friends are invited." I swallowed hard and she stops looking at her phone, raising one brow at me. "I just want to know if what's the motif so I can look what to wear." I nervously asked.

She scoffed and shook her head unbelievably. I almost jumped when she suddenly slams her desk. My eyes dilated at her sudden anger. She stood up. "Yes, I'm inviting all my friends to go. But did I asked you to?"

My lips parted at her words. What does she mean?

"O-oh, am I not allowed to go to your party? It's just that I thought I am since I'm your friend-"

"Friend?" She scoffed. "I don't know if you're just dumb or blind but can't you see that I'm just using you here?!"

I felt the edges of my eyes heated and my heart started to overcrowded. "B-but you said I-I was your friend, right? You said-"

"Shut up! I only said that because you're so smart. I got tired of answering my homework so I always pretend I'm sick to make you make it for me instead. I just used you!" She chuckled.

I felt my tears started to fall in my cheeks. I immediately wiped them away. "You just... you just used me?" I unbelievably said.

"Exactly!" She clapped her hands together. "I could never consider you as my friend, Sienna. Because look at yourself?" She looks at me insultingly from toe to head. "You're nothing but a loser!"

I took my seat weakly. I covered my mouth with my palms as I started to sob. I looked at her while crying with eyes full of questions. Why? Why did you this to me? I rested my forehead on the desk and continued crying.

"Come with me." Someone suddenly held my hand. I wiped my tears and slowly rose my gaze at him.

And to my surprise, it was... him.
