LOST

Scarlet kept Marie under constant surveillance at Adrian's orders. It could have been difficult as the lady of this house. So she ordered Lydia not to bother herself by telling her that she would be at the library for a long time. However, the job was different. She followed Marie wherever she went. The places where she was to make observations were sometimes a treetop and sometimes behind the walls.

Not to mention that Marie was constantly looking around with fearful eyes and sweating. She was always clumsy and scolded for her hectic movements. Not knowing where the watchman was must have been a pain for her. Looking at Scarlet Marie's worried blood-drained white face, she knew that this paranoia with her crime was nothing.

The head cook finally sent her into town to drive away Marie, who could not stand it. The town, too, must have felt like she could easily lose track of her, as evidenced by Marie's slightly relieved face. Scarlet smiled slyly if she thought that, which she was pretty sure was wrong.

The city center was very crowded. Tables placed all over the land were uneven. Vendors were shouting and competing viciously to sell their most precious jewelry and fabrics. Scarlet looked at the vegetables that looked deliciously colorful. They were all bright and lively. The voices of animals waiting to be sold mingled with the noise. Entering such a crowded environment after a long time cheered him up a little.

Marie was standing in front of the looms, taking a few items and moving on. When they reached the large square, the people got more crowded, and Scarlet saw people with lots of different items in their hands. People were turning to a certain area with sad expressions on their faces. Scarlet looked there curiously and saw the tree with no leaves on its drying branches. İts thickly injured body indicated it had been there for a long time. Through its wide, thick branches were long, with no leaves on it, it looked like a frail child. It was surrounded by many things and people still kept putting something. She wanted to go there and ask why people were doing that, but she couldn't risk missing Marie. She saw Marie staring at the tree for a long time where she was. She interrupted to ask what people were doing to the women who stood beside her and spoke like her while her eyes were not leaving her.

"Why are all these people putting things there?" The two women glanced behind them in a sudden voice and looked up and down with curiosity at the girl whose face was hidden. The fat woman, slightly taller than the other, looked suspiciously at the black robe.

"I think you just arrived in our town," it was obvious she was trying to get words from her mouth. Scarlet just smiled. She had to overcome her suspicion.

"Oh yes, it is. I live outside of town and came to see this place. I heard your town produces the finest fabrics and jewelry. "The woman raised her head proudly and arrogance and puffed her chest. She began to explain excitedly by looking at the stranger in front of her as a customer.

"Yes, you've heard a little bit. Our goods are the best quality. If you want I can show you closely. My shop is soon "the brightness in her eyes of finding customers was cunning. Scarlet smiled politely.

"Unfortunately my maid is not with me today. I will come another time I loved your city. " pretended to watch around. "I don't understand why people do it like that. Apparently, you have a strange tradition apart from high-quality fabrics. "The subject he had obviously changed caused the woman to grimace. The money she lost had dampened her excitement. The other woman turned to the tree. She was older than the other.

"We leave the private belongings of our relatives who die every year as a sign for them to find the right way and reach peace with the light of the full moon." Her eyes were full with her trembling voice.

She could hear her continue to speak, but her brain was definitely not there. She was busy digging through the black boxes of her mind one by one and finding the thing that gnawed her through. She remembered the date of the full moon night, which she saw on the wall of the duke, who suddenly came to her mind. Her eyes widened with adrenaline as her heart pounded with excitement. The second line of the riddle, which never left her thoughts, shone with the light, and what the woman said corresponded to the words. She stopped the rising laughter by biting his lips. She had finally figured out the second part of the puzzle.

After returning to the castle, she quickly sneaked into her room. She hastily pulled out the paper and the books on which the puzzle was written, just to be sure. Scattered and drawn written papers scattered among the books. She didn't care and took the book on which folk tales were written and opened it. She carefully read the story about the full moon once again from beginning to end. A part of her mind opened slightly, as her eyes opened wide by what he read. As she happily jumped on the spot, she replaced the books and other things. She should have reported this to Adrian immediately.

As he was descending rapidly, she sent word to the groom to prepare a horse immediately. One last time, she walked into the kitchen unseen to check on Marie. She was uncomfortable as if she was sitting on a thorn. She was peeling the potato in front of her with a troubled face, her sweaty forehead showing that she was afraid. It was obvious that she would not be able to move for a long time, and it was certain that she would not be able to move out of fear of being killed. She smiled slyly as she stepped out of the shadow and out in silence.

She came fast because her horse was running at full speed. The two guardians standing in front of the door looked at her curiously.

"Stop where you are. Show your permission "his harsh voice meant she couldn't get through here. It was the first time she had forgotten that she had come this way, it must have seemed rather suspicious, given the suspicion and determination on their faces. When she was going to say she was the Duke's Fiancée, the door creaked slowly. Adrian and Caren were staring at her curiously through the door that opened. With her relief, she jumped off the horse and rushed toward Adrian.

"I need to talk to you right now"

Adrian learned from the watch- birds that Scarlet was coming. He looked into Scarlet's glowing eyes, her wind-blown hair. His face kept expressionless as his heart squeezed at her sight.

"Let's go inside then"
